What travelers are saying
- Hope34 contributionsThe tapestry was really amazing and they also have another part of the museum with more exhibits on living during those times. Definitely worth a stop.Written March 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Michelle SSt. Petersburg, FL185 contributionsBeautiful cathedral. A lovely walk in the area. Take a look inside the church, its gorgeous. Be sure to see it at night, the lighting is breathtaking.Written February 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - tash0201Rugby, UK7 contributionsIncredibly moving. The cemetery is beautifully kept and very well maintained in a very respectful manner. This is not a location I thought I would ever ‘review’ but as an important part of history, I feel this is somewhere worth a visit - even if just to pay your respects to the brave young men who were lost.Written August 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - allelualleBoston73 contributionsA good overview of the battle for Normandy during World War 2, with artifacts, maps and a film. I'm not interested in military things, but enjoyed learning about the history while my travel mate did an actual D Day tour. (Tip: you can buy a 3 museum ticket which includes this museum, the Bayeux tapestry museum, and the MHAB museum (general history of Bayeux over the centuries).Written October 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - allelualleBoston73 contributionsInteresting museum that covers art and history of the area over the centuries. For me the highlight was the exhibit on lace making. The 3 museum ticket (for this one, the Bayeux tapestry museum, and the Battle of Normandy museum) is a good value and made this museum worth it.Written October 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Graham TAnnan, UK1 contributionAmaury will amuse and delight you with everything you might not know about alpacas, miniature horses, donkeys, sheep that don't need shearing, and donkeys. A cheerful and amusing host, he gives generously of his time, and will answer every question. His passion for animals and the beautiful buildings of the Manoir farm are plain to see. Very worth-while visit with something for every member of the family.Written October 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 907blakedTampa, FL1,449 contributionsWe enjoyed spending about 1 hour here after visiting the Cathedral and Tapestry. I was absolutely blown away by the beauty of about 10 of their trees - all different varieties (including a sequoia/giant redwood). Nice open green places and beautiful views.Written June 10, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- harrietnicoleLondon, UK75 contributionsA very moving and well done memorial well worth a visit. Sobering to read all the names- divided into years- you can work out the conflicts that they were reporting from- it’s a quiet and reflective place worth a visit.Written August 11, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. To start with the tourist office is excellent and interesting …second, so is the town!Written August 31, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lauren B5 contributionsThe Ciderie is a very simple, beautiful establishment and we were treated so kindly by the host. We were able to try about eight different products, and they were very affordable to take home with us! We enjoyed their ciders at several picnics we had later in our European vacation! I don't think that food was available on the day/time that we went.Written July 15, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - StephenCrossDublin, Ireland18,526 contributionsWell preserved church in Bayeux. Goes back to the 1754. Was significant in World War 2 as an American pilot got stuck in the steeple …apparently!Written August 31, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
