What a wonderful place! Our family had a lovely meal here on the evening that the restaurant opened. The food is fresh and delicious, the owner very welcoming and everything is sourced locally. Meals are prepared in a unique and tasteful way. Awesome! I recommend Fattoria Valle Magica very highly!!!
This is a very much working farm. No frills. The accommodation is relatively basic but ok and big plus was the air conditioning in the bedroom. Accommodation comes with half board which was quite an experience. all local products. For breakfast we usually had bread with sheep ricotta and jam or prosciutto and pecorino. Very stron sheep yoghurt was also available. Good coffee! Dinners were feast. Three courses with usual three choices. We had some cool goat and sheep dishes. The drinks are also included in the half board! Overall really homey local experience. Lots of cats and dogs so our daughter was super happy. You can also go with the herders in the morning with the sheep up the hill. It’s also great experience.
This was a delightful visit, as well as educational. The food was excellent. The ambiance was ideal as well as the choices of cuisine. They serve large portions, which works for me:)
We knew we would be traveling to Abruzzo for a few weeks so I contacted a few olive oil places and Matteo was the only one who ever got back to me! It was our luck though because we had such a great time. Matteo was so informative and his English was great. Above all the olive oil was superb. We definitely recommend visiting here if you are in the are. Thanks again Matteo!!!
When you arrive ( assuming you've interpreted the vague directions and noticed the tiny sign with the picture of a giraffe on it) the butterfly farm looks an impressive enterprise. After you've been though the small section of greenhouse and looked at the dispirited fish the 30 euros for a family of 4 starts to look on the pricey side at around 3 euros per butterfly. The newt tank was the best bit and sadly no giraffes. Avoid and go to the nearby Citta D'Angelo shopping village instead
