What travelers are saying
- GRO3Province of Brescia, Italy307 contributionsThis place never ceases to amaze me. The food is wonderful in January when it is quite chilly. They have wonderful arrosticini, Multipulciano d'Abruzzo wine and other options. If you must stay gluten free with your diet they have you covered there as well. I was first introduced to this restaurant in January of 2018 and it was soo delicious I brought my husband back to try their dishes in July. Best place to sit is table 9 outdoors on the terrace, best time of day is 7PM CEST.Written July 14, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NilsRumpCopenhagen, Denmark318 contributionsPescara is the perfect size for a weekend excursion. Loads of good cafés and restaurants and great shopping! Beaches are beautiful and skiing is only 100 km away in the mountains.Written October 19, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Katrien SGhent, Belgium1,982 contributionsThis is one of the pittoresque hillside villages and towns in Abruzzo, with the addition of a grand fortress (partially ruined) dominating the top, and great views over the Gran Sasso mountains. The historic centre holds many old and characteristic buildings, sadly some were damaged in the 2016 earthquake and have not yet been renovated. All the churches were closed when we visited, and some had clear damage from the earthquake and will not reopen soon. Some seemed fine from the outside. Still, the village is well worth a half day stay and walk around. For views of the village, walk to the Santa Maria dei Lumi church and convent (limited opening times). There are a few places along the route that offer great views of the village.Written May 2, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - moscitLaval, Canada38 contributionsCute and authentic medieval hilltop village. Minutes from the hustle and bustle of Roseto beach resort, this little borgo makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a time warp where things have gone back to a simpler time. Worth a half day of meandering though the alleys and taking in some historical buildings. There are also some good restaurants to try and the occasional wine festival. If you are n the area for a little bit, it’s worth a half day detour to get away from the beach town hustle and bustle.Written August 5, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Gisella FCedar Grove, NJ3 contributionsThis is a fantastic site full of history . Great place for exploration and very few people. They have some concerts in August . We enjoyed an afternoon there and then a dinner in nearby San Pio . Great little villages (paesi) nearby for great food and wine. We paired our porchetta and homemade pasta with a local wine. Great cheeses homemade in this area as well. Very low key relaxing walks in nature and near San Paolo ancient church .Written October 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
