Beautiful mosaics surrounding the sacred waters. The staff are very hospitable, there are free lockers that you can use, and throughout the museum there are very descriptive plaques in both Italian and English. He wrote about it in one of his poems, describing the rooms and his feelings and the citations (Italian only!) are printed and placed in the rooms. We felt that the video would have been better earlier on the route though. - Mac CNew York City, NY327 contributionsThere is no other way to describe this incredible small chapel which has the most amazing frescoes and is rightly known as the 'Cistine Chapel of Abruzzo'. We were lucky enough to meet a guide who gave us a great description of the church and its wall art. The tour was free but we and others gave the lady a gratuity. This place is small but is a real don't miss. This amazing church is one of the oldest in this Italian Region(Abruzzo)
