The Navigli area of Milan is vibrant. It is a canal surrounded by restaurants, bars and cafes. There are foot bridges to get from one side to the other. It is very pretty and fun.

A typical public square in an Italian city. This statue is of Leonardo DaVinci but it could be of a number of different Italian historical figures.

One of the nice streets in Milan, which was quite quiet. There are many shops on it and it reaches La Scala.

New built area of Milan city, but historical architecture is protected. This area has nice buildings, shopping and entertainment center, park. Also, there are quite nice residency buildings.

Great cobbled wide street with many trees and thus a perfect place to have a stroll. Near the Castle.

The square in front of the station is always very lively and there are several very beautiful buildings around - the main station, Hotel Galia, the Pirelli skyscraper. Although there are vagrants and homeless people, it does look safe.

In the district that contains Corso Buenos Aires and Piazza Argentina.

We visited the area primarily for its shopping in Corso Buenos Aires. The names here lend it a Latin American feel.

Piazzale Loreto attracted a footnote in the history books. The corpse of Benito Mussolini was put on public display in April 1945.
