My husband and I loved our visit to Nuragica. Being Canadian, we had never heard of the Nuragic people and their history. The tour not only explained their history and culture but made the experience interactive. It was unique in its delivery and I would highly recommend the visit.

I checked out the MATer museum just because I had an hour to pass in Mamoiada after having seen the main attraction (the mask museum) and found the other one (culture and work) closed. I'd recommend it to others in the same situation: don't make the trip for it, but if you're already in Mamoiada for the other museums and have 20 minutes to spare then it's worth a visit.

It's not an archaeological museum in the conventional sense: there are no objects on display. It's essentially just a video accompanied by a projection onto a surface that models the nearby area, explaining the history and the archaeological significance of the area. Despite being "just a video" though, I thought it was very well made: educational and captivating.

Everything has already been said in previous reviews - but if I could give this place a negativerating, I would not hesitate. I was here in 2017, but it does not seem to have improved. This place was one of the cruelest I've ever visited: fish and other animals dumped in tanks that are filthy and far too small for them. Please, please don't go here. Every ticket that's sold extends the suffering of these animals.
