What travelers are saying
- JOY9 contributionsBravo to Sylvia Pello and staff! 18 hole championship golf course. The course is impeccably maintained. The villa was 5 star. Surroundings were peaceful and serene. Drive your golf cart to an isolated beach but with a life guard no less! Bruno the chef was superb and meals were personalized. The WOW factor is definitely there. You know this place is a work of love and the staff works hard to make it a special place just for you.Written October 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Scenery is incredibly beautiful as it’s located on the Sardinian coast, with a view of the magic island “tavolara”. I have enjoyed the myrtle and fig plants intense scent all along (only in summer-time probably).
Golf-wise it’s unforgiving Golf for sure, as soon as you’re off the fairway, you end up in the bush and you drop a shot (almost always ball lost), in few instances you have small landing zones and in 1-2 cases (to my recollection) with blinded shots. To make it harder, if winds blows, well, shaping the ball flight is needed.
Some par 3s are 200m Long hence very challenging giving the greens are small and the room for mistake is tiny.
I have managed to make 3 pars and 2 bogeys (which is good golf for my level), the rest doubles and 1 triple (had to drop twice 😭).
Overall, very pleased by the visit and very educative for my Golf, as I have learnt to pick small targets and fully commit to those, something that I don’t do when fairways are generous (my fault entirely, and no excuses, yet, I’m handicap 19, hence allowed to make mistakes of such 😅).
Pay a visit and the overall experience will leave you pleased.
Advice, if you can take the whole day and spend the rest of it in one of the near by beaches; don’t eat at the hotel “Due Lune”, as they serve an overrated buffet not offering good traditional cuisine (by the loo that was my impression). Much better to look for a traditional restaurant in the near by Olbia.Written August 6, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. No room for mistakes - make sure you've got spare golf balls. Sometimes it is difficult to focus on golf as the views a distracting from it. Cart is very much recommended, especially during summer as elevations are unbelievable. The downside of those elevations is that you often have to carry two clubs towards the green - wedge and putter Unforgettable golf!Written November 18, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GarySolihullSolihull46 contributionsArrived here last week 15/08/22, to play the 9 hole course twice, we advised prior to arrival we wanted to hire clubs and wanted to purchase balls and a glove from the shop, we were told this was not a problem.
Upon arrival we were told there was not shop to purchase golf balls and gloves and were were then shown to the place to collect our hire clubs, the best way to describe this was we were shown to the lost property cupboard and had to mix together from 4 golf bags the best set of clubs we could , each golf bag had a mixture of right and left handed clubs and only range balls were available to use, the course was more like a UK municipal course OK but very basic and not the best.
For the 300 Euros we paid for the 18 holes and the hire of the clubs id avoid this place and seek out better course, to top it of the guy there handed me a dirty sweaty used glove as i said i needed a glove to play with, i declined his offer.Written August 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. For us the carts - we played 3 times - all worked fine.
The teeing areas were very uneven with sandy ground and a coarse grass which seems to be a Sardinian native. A problem for me as I use step tees. It was almost impossible to tee up at a constant height. For this ground you need old school 'standard' tees, preferably about a foot long. Tent pegs might also do the trick. The fairways were fine. The greens were among the worst I've ever seen. All manner of weeds and I think the odd herb and vegetable. The signposting needs improving especially as for one hole you have to double back across a previous tee. Quite a challenge for first-timers. The driving range was a bit of a wasteland. I guess they need the water for other things. I found it all a bit over-priced for what it was. I think that's a reflection of Sardinia generally though.Written October 19, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
