This is a long paved walkway along the Lungomare, the beach of Trapani. It begins at the old fish market, and ends at Ligny Tower. It is great for walking or running, and offers an excellent place to view the sunset.

In several places there are stairs that will allow access to the beach below.

Nice place and gives you nice views over the castle, but at the moment, it seems to be closed. Not sure if because of Covid-19, or something else.

Not sure it this site it's always open, but I think it is a fabulous view over Erice if the weather is clear. We had rain, so we did not consider going up :(

The tower of Federico is worth visiting, inside the tower there are 2 levels each with an arched ceiling with decorative carvings. The 3rd level is the roof top with great views around Enna
97 step on the spiral stair case is a bit of work but not impossible for those that are reasonably fit

Based in Piazza del Duomo, this Norman citadel houses the world’s largest mechanical clock. At midday, gilt figures, including a roaring lion and a host of beautiful angels, emerge from the clock to re-enact the city’s history. Very moving experience. Second time around and still a great sight.

One of my biggest pieces of advice I always give to other travelers is look up. You never know what you may find. As we were wandering around old Trapani, we happened upon the orologio. Such an interesting site to see that you might totally miss if you didn't look up and around. I always love old time pieces and this did not disappoint.

More than the place it is worth taking the walk along charing cobbled lanes to get there. Ask more info at the local tourist office in the same lane.

The clock tower or Torre dell'Orologio was built at the beginning of the 18th C on the pre-existing remains of a 17th C watchtower, destroyed by 1693's earthquake. It stands imperiously below the Castello Conti. It has been in operations since 1725 and works on the basis of a counterweight mechanism that still works due to the care of municipal officials. Although I went to the castle, I was not able to visit the tower due to maintenance.
    Now I know why.

A modest tower, not really amazing.
But combined with all the scenery, with the stunning shades of blue of the sea, from sapphire to emerald passing by turquoise, with the red of the walls of this special house, the rocks on the amazing sea (again)...everything is perfectly in place for a memorable picture.
