We were supposed to visit a winery after our trip to Etna but due to a misunderstanding it was not possible. We were instead recommendated to go to Etna museum for wine tasting and that was quite an experince. Numerous good Sicilian wines and a never ending line of aperitivos resulted in a very enjoyable afternoon having missed the winery visit. To be honest we did not really check out the small museum, wine tasting and aperitivos took all our time.

We loved our visit to Erice in Miniatura. We had heard of it but had no idea it would be so beautiful, detailed and captivating. The work of one man over two years! Hard to fathom how he achieved such a display. We are full of admiration. Well worth an extended visit ....

After being washed-off the upper slopes of Etna we visited this small museum. It is a classic rainy day option. The local borough acquired an old house and restored it as a small, charming ethnographic museum. This late 18th house was typical of those owned by farmers or small landowners who were quite well off. The ground includes a pantry, living room and kitchen with original utensils on display. On the first floor are a further living room and bedroom. The house provides a handy diversion for a short visit.

A nice lady shows you the virtual reality devices. They all show a different place.

It's a way of virtual tourism with a audio tour. Also a local legend about the start of the city is available.

The place is a cultural center with a reading area and a small but beautiful see view terrace. The restaurant attached is of very high quality. Recommend a combined visit
