It is hard to get to, but it is worth it. Just the best mosaics in the world. Parking is very easy. Make sure to have money for the bathroom.

Really great experience about 45 minutes outside of Taormina. And easy and pretty drive through the country takes you to the mountains to see the gorges. We did the walking, splash pad and basic visit, but wish we had just done the basic.
The walking path takes you to the Venus Source which is beautiful and gives you above views of the canyon below, but the real star is the gorge itself. Taking the lift down makes it an easy trek for old and young. With our 5 and 8 year old we were able to work our way up quite a bit through the canyon.
The kids had swim shoes which I would recommend. My feet were torn up by the end. The water is VERY cold but very refreshing on a hot August day. Fight through it and work your way up the canyon. It’s worth it.
Skip the splash pad. We did it for the kids but it was way too expensive for what it was.

This was a fascinating visit - really interesting history and building, filled with lovely things. Excellent tour. Wonderful that it is still a home, lived in and loved. Highly recommend this visit. Allow time to find it - fairly neat the cathedral but in the backstreets

Amazing church, 100% worth a visit. Very unusual and beautiful decorations, takes your breath away. Only 2 euro per ticket / or 6 euro including a small but lovely museum. A must visit in Palermo!

We did the Tour in English, and the information was great. We watched a video that explained the process, and then walked the Salt Mine and the information was explained again in the real setting. I can't think of many tours that offered this kind of experience.

This is an absolute must see when in Sicily. The nature here is quite spectacular and so is the wild life. Also the paths are very well laid out and makes sure that you se all the sights on the route. Especially taking a rest at the sanctuary at one end of the path overlooking the sea in total peace and quiet is a lovely experience. As scandinavians is was also a big thing to see flamingos in the wild. We have never been in an area like this, and as a hiker and nature lover this was an absolute favorite experience on our trip to Sicily. There is a small admission fee and parking fee here, but it is worth the spend. Only regret is that we didn't visite one of the small restaurants there, because they looked very cozy.

Cala Pulcino was under mostly closed due to the risk of rocks falling due to the beach.
However positioned just beside the greatly famous ISOLA DEI CONIGLI beach, shares the colour of the water, the beauty and the African/Caribbean flavour.
it is another MUST SEE (if it is legal to do so), and hopefully the Sicilian Authorities will work on this.

It takes a good 25/30 minuted by walk to reach the beach, so it is another experience like to be in Arizona canyon or creek.
    Fantastic.

A wonderful experience, the most beautiful part of the trail is closed off but we ‘stumbelled’ over the barrier… we met some very nice people and had amazing views of the gorge. Unfortunately on our return to the ‘car park’ we found our car, and several others, had been broken into. We were lucky the there was nothing to take but some of our neighbours lost cash, bags and passports. We subsequently found out that this is a common enough event at this venue. What’s more annoying is that there are staff onsite but no ‘official’ car park.

The Gambino Winery was a stop on our small group food and wine tour of Sicily.
We had a fabulous wine tasting and pairing. The staff was very pleasant and informative as we were not familiar with the grape varieties that grow near Etna. Our stay was leisurely and inviting. We enjoyed the experience so much that we shipped wine back to the USA. Wine tasting outside the USA is so, so much better.

I had so much fun and learning from the two hours spent at the Archimede Museum. Our guide Lucia was so passionate and knowledgeable about Archimede’s inventions, and she also let us try burning leaves with Archimede’s mirror. Very fun! I would highly recommend it - both for adults and kids.

An extraordinary place and largely unknown to the great Sicilian public apart from the disinterested and distracted Italian school children forced to walk around but more engaged with their phones This is an in-depth examination of Operation Husky when the Americans and British raced around the island to see who could secure Messina first. The equipment, the visuals, the reenactments are first class- presentation is usually an Italian thing but this time they've combined it with substance. It's a beautiful space tucked away near the railway station- and takes a bit of finding but completely worth it. I hope there is money to maintain this excellent museum

Beautiful experience. You walk in as Tourists and you walk out as Actor. Inside great experience in cinema art and theatre. It’s not a usual museum.

Hosni, born and raised in Mazzara del Vallo, knows the twists and turns of the casbah, with the history of the people and places, and will charm you with good humor and knowledge. I recommend him if you want an authentic tour of the casbah.
