- Dominique7339Ottawa, Canada395 contributionsUnfortunately was not open when we arrived. Only open from 1630 to 2030. Amazing life sized sculptures in the garden for the stations of the cross. Beautiful mosaics surrounding the sacred waters. Sparkling clean public toilets by the gift shop in the parking lot.Written October 12, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alexander F4 contributionsAlmost 2 mile long, impressive beachside avenue, apparently a copy of (or inspired by) that to be found in Benghazi, Libya. Wonderful for strolling along on a summer's evening.Written April 14, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Better to go early in the morning.Written October 12, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- James CBirmingham, MI109 contributionsEnjoyed our visit with Giovanni and L'azienda agricola Faraone.
First, Giovanni is very nice and inviting. He put up with my broken Italian very well.
Second, the riserva Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is very good. Fruit forward wtih a very prune like taste. All of the other wines were very good too. Wife especially liked the pecorino (wine/grape, not the cheese).
Third, crazy affordable.Twelve bottles (mix of all 5 that he sampled for us), just over 100 euro. We were in Sonoma two months ago, and a similar quality case would have been 2-3 times as much.
This part of Italy is a hidden treasure for wine.
Thank you Giovanni!!!!Written May 28, 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. If you like architecture, the construction of the dome and its octagonal enclosure, also reflected on the inside, is worth your time.Written August 25, 2013This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Pam BBlaye, France102 contributionsWorth the treck up to the old town, visiting 14 stations of the cross on the way up. Restaurants and bars at the top of the town too so you can reward yourself for making the hike to the top. It only took about 30 mins, easy pace.Written May 16, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
