I love all the old churches here in Umbria, from San Michele Arcangelo on and with the Roman ruins in Perugia,on through the Gothic cathedral in Orvieto, the Baroque churches around, but I was very impressed with the interior of this santuary, light and airy and welcoming.

This large Roman Catholic church was built in the 13th century. It is set on a high point in the town of Todi and has an impressive set of very wide stairs with crouching lions at either end leading up to it. The interior is cavernous and as I was the only visitor when I was there in September, it felt quite huge. Things I enjoyed seeing in the church included the lovely frescoes, many in disrepair, from the 1400's, other impressive paintings, the carved wooden choir, the beautiful windows that let in the Umbrian light, the crypt with the tomb of the poet Jacopone da Todi on the lower level, and the bell tower. For 2E you can climb the tower, see the bell, and look out over the town of Todi to the Umbrian landscape beyond. It's an easy climb and worth the effort. My only complaint was that the wire mesh they've installed to keep the birds out of the bell tower impedes the view.

A lovely square where you can sit in a cafe, have a coffee and admire palaces and buildings around you. And also watch people walking around the square.

This church is just outside Todi you absolutely have to stop to visit it! It is magnificent outside and inside. When you enter the church you are surrounded by all the shades of white and light gray gentle lightened by the sun entering from the windows. It is really worth to visit

I have been to Todi several times and spent 5 weeks there in Aug/Sept. it is such a wonderful town and not super touristy. There are many cultural events throughout the year (Jazz, art, music festivals). Highly recommended. I am actually moving there next month!

Handful of very well kept happy sociable animals. Peaceful place. Given a map and you are to visit the park at your own place. Similarly priced but nicer than zoos.

In my humble opinion, Todi doesn’t offer as much as Perugia or Orvieto, but the Cathedral is very nice and worths a visit. In particular, I loved the painting you can see when you exit.

Amazing experience right off the bat: it starts with a short (but so exciting!) climb into a manhole and it continues with a hour and a half long exploration of the tunnels under Todi. Very detailed explanations and the guide is super nice and friendly. It's all no-profit, volunteer work!

Tucked behind the duomo is this small gem of a church that is painted from floor to ceiling in religious themed. In addition they have several beautiful reliquaries including jaw bones and fingers. Sitting on the chairs you can have your eyes work their way around the church to observe the painted details. Not crowded and no one is telling you shh!! Highly recommended.

We visited this winery with Discovering Umbria tours. Tour the winery and production areas, see the vineyards, taste the beautiful wine. You take wine home and keep enjoying your visit to the winery! This winery has researched and invested significantly on being eco friendly and it is a beautiful place to visit.
