The sculptures are thought provoking in the political statement the artist was trying to make. The movement was interesting too.

I think our experience was enhanced by the fact that we visited with the guide from our 3 hour walking tour, on the way back from the castle to old town. Honza explained the theories about the artists inspiration and other details.

If you visit Prague, make sure to visit Charles Bridge, the Clock, etc. But also, make sure to leave Old Town to visit this fountain. I love to walk, so this is definitely within walking distance of all of the great places to see in Prague. I've been singing about Good King Wenceslas all of my life at Christmas time, so this was a chance to put a song with a location. Hop on Hop Off Tours will bring you to this location as well.

This is a very simple fountain, but beautifully decorated with sculptures. There are four sculptures by Anna Chomsky. Each of the sculptures is of a musician, playing a different musical instrument. The sculptures are superb for their sense of movement and joy of playing music.

Sadly the fountain is well away from the main tourist circuit, although it is close to Prague central station and Henry’s Tower. It’s worth a detour if you visiting either of those. I visited twice, during the day and in the evening. Definitely visit during the day, at night, the lighting isn’t good enough to get good photos.

We stumbled across this lovely little square with a great little fountain in it when we were walking from the Charles Bridge back to the old town square / Staromestske Namesti. It is worth a stop to have a quick look at the ornate little fountain, grab a photo and move on.

The Fall Of Time Fountain ( Fontana Propadiste Casu ) is a rather dour but strangly eye catching fountain.
It's a leftover from Communist times ,a set of curved concrete slabs form a fountain, due to the cold March weather the fountain wasn't in operation but I've seen it in full flow and it looks superb, its well worth checking with you around the Smichov district ( Praha 5 ) and easy to locate on Namesti Kinskych.

The fountain in the second courtyard of the Prague Castle - we were there in the winter - so there was no water in it - but I guess it looks more beautiful in the summer with water in it.
Built in 1686 - by the order of the Habsburg emperor Leopold I , it is a very interesting piece that has 3 levels the upper level , with the Habsburg double headed eagle on top - that is seating in "bowl" that is supported by Tritons - this level seating in another circular plateau is supported by ancient gods (and demi-gods) - Vulcanus - the God of fire , Mercurius - messenger of the ancient Gods , Neptune - the God of the seas and Hercules - demi-God , the son of Zeus.
And than the water is flowing to the lower level of the fountain.
Overall very interesting - definitely worth a few minutes of your time when you are visiting Prague castle.

I found this fountain to be very nice. It’s in a square. Not many people paid attention to it. If walking by it’s worth looking at. Not sure I’d go out of the way to see it.

Really truly underwhelming. Only go if you're an insta model or 5min away. A huge trek to it, and most of the nearby restaurants only take cash. Smells horrid and really just isn't impressive compared to the rest of Prague. Save your time.

This is a great place for BBQ with friends. Beautiful park in the city center with tables, benches and water tap. Bistro with beer and limo is nearby, you can borrow the BBQ tools there or buy a marinated meat for grilling. Reservations of grillpoint are made via the internet, activation is via SMS. Awesome place, we love it. So popular that you need to reserve it in advance.

My twin brother Stephen and I were on Namesti Jiriho Z Podebrad Christmas Market in the Zizkov District and passed Sjednocena Evropa Fountain.
A wonderful looking fountain,a leftover from communist times ,brutalist in design and with temperatures in the minus and snow falling the fountain was obviously not in operation but it still looked cool ,if you're in the Zizkov District it's well worth checking out and easy to locate on Namesti Jiriho Z Podebrad.

Located in the Smichov district ( Praha 5 ) is Arbes Park, a nice little park named in honour of Jakub Arbes the famous Czech writer and intellectual ,there's a cute fountain here called Arbes Park Fountain, nothing spectacular to look at but it's very cool in its simplicity, adds to the joy of walking around this park which is well worth checking out if you're in the Smichov district and easy to locate on Arbesovo Namesti.

Located between The Estate's Theatre and the Universitas Carolina is Lion Fountain ( Brunnen Mit Löwen ) .
This water feature looks superb ,quite a large basin with two stylised lion statue's either side ,as we visited in the run up to Christmas this fountain like every other fountain in the city wasn't in working order due to the extreme cold ,snowing when we visited which was cool ,the fountain is so photogenic and adds to the joy of walking around the Old Town ( Stare Mesto ) ,it's easy to locate on Ovocny Trh.

My twin brother Stephen and I were heading to the beautiful Prague Castle Christmas Market and passed this historic fountain .
Located in the second courtyard ,designed by Hieronymus Kohl,it's also known as Lion Fountain ,it's one of the oldest fountains in Prague ,it's such a photogenic fountain and most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the Prague Castle Complex.
