What travelers are saying
- Dom O4 contributionsSome nice views of the city on the way up and down. Not the most beautiful park but a nice break from the hustle of the city... also you get to see some of the more communist era buildings on the far side to remind you of the dichotomy of the history of this amazing country. Definetly worth an hour out of your day.Written March 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- product-of-canadaToronto, Canada2,389 contributionsIt is worth coming here not only for reprieve from the busier areas, but to see the modern art sculptures. It is because of our visit to this park that we saw the yellow penguins up close, and the Černý baby sculptures.Written October 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Matt GBurton upon Trent, UK552 contributionsLovely peaceful park set within the castle walls… lots of people wandering around making the most of the weather. A small coffee shop and a cemetery thats got generations of families buried and beautiful memorials. The Basilica is very impressive and beautiful inside . I think it about 60 ck to go inside.Written February 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- GeorgeSwitzerland78 contributionsBeautiful park at the border of Prague, direction airport. Big, with water, lakes, hills & rocks. Ideal for a half-day walk in Prague.Written May 2, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Traveller162014Leeds, UK1,039 contributionsIt's quite nice walking around here, away from the chaos of the tourists, and watching the peacocks and peahens live their everyday lives.Written February 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tiberiu_BaranyiTimisoara, Romania12,986 contributionsThis beautiful garden is maybe less known - but definitely worth a few minutes of your time when you are in the area.
The Franciscan Monastery - with the church of Our Lady of the Snows - was built in the 14th century and beside it - this garden is a relatively small but tranquil oasis in the noise of the 21st century city of Prague.
When we were there there were a few cm of snow , fallen the evening before , and the garden was a bit less spectacular than in the summer for instance when the fountain is also flowing.
Still even in winter it is definitely worth a few minutes and a stop for a few pictures.Written January 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The biggest sight of the park, the Šlechta's restaurant, has finally been renovated and now it adds to the nice image of Stromovka. There are more historical and interesting buildings in the park as well as multiple places to get foods or drinks. Perfect for walking, playing, running, riding a bike and letting your dog enjoy life. And you can do the same here.Written September 2, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- KookieherePrague, Czech Republic532 contributionsI highly recommend visiting during autumn when the trees in the park shine with color. In spring everything is in bloom and late fall/winter offers the best views of Prague because of the lack of leaves shielding the view so you can't really go wrong with any season. The park is so romantic and magical, there are many trails going to various directions and each one of them has something to offer - breathtaking views, hidden corners, remainst of historical forts, churches, restaurants, playgrounds, fountains, statues, an esoteric gallery. There can be a lot of tourists on the main trails but there are many others to take. If you don't like climbing hills and stairs, take the funicular up the hill and walk down by yourself.Written October 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - travlintootsNew England165 contributionsWe sought out this park because we wanted to find a serene, green space with benches where we could read, people watch, relax. We brought along a blanket in case there were no benches (there were LOTS of benches, some in the sun, some in the shade). We used the blanket to spread out on the grass, fall asleep, watch the clouds. Heavenly!Written September 25, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- HowloBuckingham, UK9,525 contributionsA pleasant park, lots of locals use to have their lunch. Its got lots of benches, a well earned rest whilst walking around the city.Written November 18, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Neil KLiverpool, UK619,734 contributionsMy twin brother Stephen and I were in Prague for a ten day holiday in the run up to Christmas ,we visited all the famous sites and most of the not so famous but just as interesting off the beaten track sites ,we visited Petrin Hill above Ujezd and took in the stunning views afforded of the city below ,the Seminary Garden looked superb ,a lovely walking area and with heavy snow falling even more beautiful to behold ,if you're planning a holiday to Prague and in the Udezd area it's most definitely well worth checking out.Written April 25, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Šimon Š6 contributionsBeautiful place. Much effort was put into this and it was worth it. The place is beautiful . Unfortunately, the first impression is ruined immediately because of the attitude of the lady selling tickets. Next time we buy e-tickets for sure.Written May 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- GrahamRugby, UK980 contributionsOut hotel in Prague is in the area called Zizkov (Praha 3). This long thin park spans the top of the the Zizkow area. At its far end is a huge museum and at its front a statue of Jan Zizka. Zizka is a Czech National Hero from the 1400's, and the namesake of the park and the area that it is in.
We didn't go in the museum , however we did use the cafe on the second floor. You can sit out on the roof.
The park is full of trees, grassy areas and modern art statures. The park always has people in it, relaxing and enjoying the quiet.Written June 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This park is really lovely to view ,the centrepiece of this park is the magnificent Kranner's Fountain ,a wonderful piece of architecture ,the park is well kept with bench seating and when we visited was covered in a thick blanket of snow ,around the park are fantastic looking buildings ,it's just a great park to check out if you're in the area and easy to locate along Smetanova Nabrezi.Written April 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
