This is a great place, Firstly you have his house made from a collection of ancient Thai houses and full of high quality Thai artifacts. It has a great tropical garden.
Then you have the silk shop showing the value of him saving the Thai silk industry, beautiful clothes and textiles.
The cafe and restaurant are very good and often near the fishpond or established tropical gardens.
Next door is the art gallery showing mainly Thai art

I heard good things about this museum before but it's still surprisingly wonderful, especially for art lovers. One of the main galleries remind me of those in Europe.

Good experience. It's atleast 4 story building that houses almost all forms of arts and crafts from Thailand. They also host fairs. It's adjacent to metro station. There is no entree fee. No need to buy tickets.

Very useful and recommended visit to this huge museum on Thai history starting approx 5,000 years ago - and with help from 2 very knowledgeable ladies we had a great tour in English which lasted well over 2 hours!

English tours are certainly available on Wednesday, from 09:30and they are free of charge as run by volunteers; entrance however was THB200 but was money well spent.

After all the walking, up and down stairs and between builduings there us a small family run Thai restaurant, extremely affordable and with good food (recommended their Pad Thai)

    Enjoy!

We visited WOW Park over the weekend, and to be honest, I'm just amazed! In my childhood, we could only dream of such a place. It was a real adventure not only for children, who were absolutely delighted with all the attractions, but also for adults. So many warm emotions and joy. It is impressive how the organizers paid attention to absolutely everyone, and everyone could become a participant in all the entertainment. There was concern everywhere and a desire to make our day unforgettable. Indeed, in such places, adults find children in themselves again, and children get memories for life. WOW Park is a place where you want to come back again and again.

Madame Tussauds Museum is one of the most famous museums in all countries of the world. What is special about this museum is the famous figures in Asia and Thailand. I advise you to visit it as part of the display with aquariums like mine. Worth a visit.

Pretty interesting, but also very graphic, so be prepared.
    Put on your CSI cap.

Several weeks after I viewed it, my wife told me a story.
Apparently her mother was pregnant and riding a motorscooter near by, and got in an accident. Lost the baby, and it ended up in that museum.
    Glad she told me afterwards.

Day 6 (Sunday 18 Jun 2023) in Bangkok.

We took the blue line to Sanam Chai station on a Sunday morning, which is as rated one of the four most beautiful MRT stations in Bangkok. A short distance away is Museum Siam. Student cards outside of Thailand are recognised here and they get discounts on the entrance fees. This museum focus on “Being Thai-ness” with exhibits as well as interactive displays in English as well. Do not miss the architecture display of the building on the ground level which is with a visit.

Suan Pakkad or cabbage garden used to be the house of the grandson of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) but is now a museum. There are 8 rooms connected into a spacious house. In the rooms many artefacts from different countries and periods, not only Thai. Pottery, jewellery, carvings, musical instruments etc. Not a typical tourist place, so quiet. If you want to enjoy something different I could recommend to spend around 2 hours here. Photography inside is not allowed and entrance fee is 100 baht.

We are huge aviation enthusiast and this was a definite stop in our BKK 5 days. Its great as others have said to go direct by BTS and then its a 5 min walk all signposted. The inside is air conditioned and there are a number of aircraft that are outside with no shelter so bring an umbrella and fan as its was hot in the sun. The little cafe on site is available for cold drinks too . When we arrived the gentleman at reception gave us an in-depth explanation to the history of the museum and when he found out my son is an RAF cadet then he talked a lot about how the pilots are trained and what the museum means to the TAF.

On the ay back we didn't have to pay for the BTS tickets , not sure if it was just luck or a perk of going to the museum , wither way we spent 2 hours there and really enjoyed it . Do visit and donate , whilst it is free to enter , they really do a great job.

It is small, but interesting and informative. All the barges are luminous and well preserved and decorated.

We went to Rattanakosin Exhibition Hall and enjoyed our visit a lot. The place was clean, the staff welcoming and helpful. The exhibition was wonderful and interesting too. Unfortunately there wasn’t enough time to carefully read the few English texts because the staff was asking to move to another room. The audio guide was in a very poor state. The voice was broken, the background music too loud. But the responsible guide at the second and third floor was fantastic. A very kind and thoughtful young man. He taught us so much about Thai culture and history. Plus he answered all of our questions. ☺️

A nice kinda "Museum" more an original house, where someone lived inside long times ago.
It´s a good place to calm down and imagine the life in Bangkok nearly 80 years ago.
The staff is so friendly and can explain some things in english, if you ask.
You can watch the origin items, they´ve used or where used around 1930.
It´s completly free, you only have to sign in and if you leave a tip, they will be happy

Great location...right opposite a famous mall and views of the river. Would have been great to have got the early check in without the imposed extra payment

Excellent opportunity I'm going to have to return. Because we only had two hours, we had to rush through everything in order to see everything. reduce the time by four to five hours so that you may view everything in plenty of time. There are three different buildings that can be traversed on foot. There are a lot of activities that are geared for younger children. Dress warmly because it is chilly inside the building.
