What travelers are saying
- Simon D338 contributionsGetting to this shopping complex is very easy on the Silom Line, just get off at the station (Silom Paragon), using exit 3. This is the shopping complex with all of the designer shops to satisfy anyone. Enough said there, but very wide walkways between the Tiffany’s, Gucci, etc shops. Downstairs there is a quaint food court which is very big with over 100 different goody places. Very much traditional fare on display, not Chinese. Some of the food shops do not take cash and one has to purchase a card!!! To guess how much you need to put on it?? Anyways, clean, big and very impressive. Easy to get there and get out off. Any worries with train connections as it has both under we ground and above ground trains just ask the friendly staff at ticketing.Written March 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - guy mKuching, Malaysia82 contributionsThis is a great place, Firstly you have his house made from a collection of ancient Thai houses and full of high quality Thai artifacts. It has a great tropical garden.
Then you have the silk shop showing the value of him saving the Thai silk industry, beautiful clothes and textiles.
The cafe and restaurant are very good and often near the fishpond or established tropical gardens.
Next door is the art gallery showing mainly Thai artWritten March 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Honestly things are pricier here - Probably due to the higher rent however it's clean, great location and lots of activities here. They always have some concert, special pop ups, exhibitions happening. You probably will meet lots of celebs here, for tourists there is the HUG Thai filled with Thai Food and Goodies. Numerous restaurants to choose from the choice is overwhelming. Decent service from maids, guards although the information desk can be mistaken at times. A pleasant place for the whole family - although tuk tuks and bikes here are expensive!!!Written March 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Greg GAustin, TX409 contributionsOverwhelming selection of attractive clothes at very reasonable prices. Very crowded on Saturdays. I see why people travel to Thailand with empty suitcases! Right across street from good hotel, Amari Hotel.Written March 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We were a little unsure what to expect as there’s not much info on the website but it was a great museum, really informative and interesting. Lots of snakes, both alive and not. We watched the venom extraction which was worth seeing. Enjoyed by children and adultsWritten February 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - S UBangkok, Thailand8 contributionsI heard good things about this museum before but it's still surprisingly wonderful, especially for art lovers. - Helmut SBangkok, Thailand1,828 contributionsMy second visit to Wat Pak Nam Phasi Charoen, an amazing temple. In July 2023 there were less tourist around but even this time on a Sunday it was not too crowded. I took the MRT to Bang Phai station, Exit 1, and then down the stairs or with the elevator, it takes about 15 minutes to reach the pedestrian bridge over the canal, and then to the grounds of the temple. There is the Meili Café near to the bridge, good espresso and brownies.
There is so much to see at this temple, of course the giant Buddha statue is the main object for pictures. From the pagoda which is behind the Buddha pictures of the area can be taken. In the pagoda there are several levels to climb up the stairs, definitely worthwhile to do.
Several foreign women walked around with very tight shorts and bustier, unfortunately the Thais are too shy to tell them that wearing such dress is very disrespectful.Written January 31, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. In our view, this mall has interesting stores and we have always enjoyed coming here. The sports stores, clothing stores, etc, are interesting and less crowded. This place is a gem.Written July 2, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
