Lovely walk on elevated wooden walkway throughout the swamp sanctuary. We were able to see two alligators and all kinds of birds.
You can choose a short walk or the one that is about two miles long.
There is a lovely gift shop on the premises as well.

Such an amazing place! A must do for those who enjoy nature and the company of birds. Staff are all volunteers, very friendly and happy to answer questions. Strictly donation based. Don’t forget to wear bug spray and bring plenty of blueberries and unsalted almonds as treats. We will definitely visit again!

My wife and I were invited to attend a gallery opening held at the Rookery Bay Educational Center. We found the people to be very professional, very welcoming and politley engaging. The photography exhibit presented very talented artists' works. The hors d'oeuvres were not just food, but a well laid out informational and active environmental center. We were impressed by the well run affair, and for the pleasant public event.

This trail is very easy and accessible-but, if you start walking, kind of “never ending “: keeps on going though it’s many beautiful sections.
Beautifully designed path alternates between comfortable boardwalks and asphalt road with unpaved trails branching off. One arm of the trail goes to the Naples Zoo .
The trail surrounding nature is gorgeous and the route crosses Gordon river . There are places to rest. Maps along the way allow for easy reorientaton. Plant life is explained and marked. You can fish in many spots along the way, just not from the bridge. Good place to observe mangroves habitat and giant ferns. The path goes also near the Naples airport and reaches the beautifully landscaped Bakers Park. The view towards Old Naples from the high point of the Bakers Park is magnificent.
The Greenway is about 12 miles long all together, someone told us. It definitely one of those destinations the entire family can keep revisiting again and again.

We rented a pontoon from Rose Marina for the day. We did not make it quite as far around the islands as we "planned" but we had no idea what to expect even after weeks, maybe months, of research. We saw dolphins in a wild feeding frenzy right next to the boat, quite a treat. There was time to circle around a few keys and float about here and there. Fantastic experience.

This is a very small preserve located on Tamiami Trail. No dogs, drinking, cycling permitted. As we were walking on the boardwalk, we spotted so many gopher tortoises. Visitors are not allowed to feed or touch the tortoises. At the end of strolling, you can write on the blackboard how many tortoises you spotted and the time you spotted/visited. There's no fees to go here.

It's a one of a kind place. Passionate and caring couple with 42 acres that have cared for wildlife in some capacity their entire lives. Up close and personal connections with a variety of wildlife. Fascinating stories of their experiences. I took my mother with limited vision: because we were able to feed and touch some of the animals made it one of the few places that mom was able to "see with touch" and have a fun time. Priceless. It's a hidden gem well worth the cost and travel time. As a full-time resident of Naples, I will now take our guests to visit this one of a kind experience.

Visited Bayview park in Naples today on my way back from showing my buyers condos in marco island. It's my first time checking this place put since relocated to north Naples from Syracuse. It truly is one of the most serene spots I have seen in Southwest Florida. As a real estate agent I often need to decompress before heading home. Also one of the best spots to grab a bench and read a book or get caught up on some work. There is no fee to park or enter and there is also fishing access as well.

Palm trees and nature are beautiful, there are plenty of birds, deers, etc. A ranger told us they also regularly see bears but we never saw one.
We enjoy going there to ride our bikes because it's very quiet and roads are easy to access in winter. In summer roads can be flooded so I would not recommend to go from June to October. In winter there are fires but most of them are controlled. Last, check when hunting season is open before you go.
Sometimes it feels a bit eerie as you can spend hours without seen anyone... and most important, wildlife can be dangerous, so you must be cautious. Once we faced a large wild bull on the road and we also encountered a big rattlesnake, so stay on the roads and pay attention.
I would never go camping, but for a walk (or ride) of a couple of hours it's worth going there to discover a very unusual part of Florida.
