What travelers are saying
- Steven HSan Diego, CA94 contributionsNoble Experiment is a fantastic speakeasy located in the Gaslamp district downtown. I highly recommend making reservations if you plan to visit. They typically give you an hour with the mixologist. The night we went it was dealers choice (or bartenders choice). You tell them the types of alcohol or flavors you like and they put something together for you based on your preferences. All of the drinks the four of us were given were delicious. You can see some of the pictures attached. It’s a super cool atmosphere and the decor is amazing - dark and woody with paintings on the ceiling. The only slight downfall was the 60 minute limitation but given the number of people who want to come here I suppose it’s not unreasonable. We will definitely be going back when we have an opportunity.Written January 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RandallSan Diego, CA991 contributionsThe food was far better than anticipated. The service was solid and the performers were very good to great. A superb evening where we were made to feel like we as guests were truly appreciated. A fun time for sure.Written November 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Brent FEdwardsville, IL248 contributionsI absolutely love my tiki bars—and the west coast has some of the best ones….this one was perfectly dimly lit and mysterious, shrunken skulls, Japanese glass fishing floats, blowfish, wooden carvings, Polynesian hula girls, plumeria flowers, pineapple stems, and of course—strong South Pacific tropical drinks! 🍹 Drinks will set you back $15 or so, but the vibe makes it worth it. I’d definitely visit again!Written March 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

The food is definitely on the better end of a restaurant, and the decor is nice -but all the tv screens with the sports on lend to the sports bar theme. The service was impressive. I was not expecting it to be so loud but the music was good. I had 1/3 of a Greek salad, my husband had a cheeseburger-I forget which one, and my son had the barbecue sandwich. Definitely a return visit if I ever make it back to SD!Written March 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Carolyn MErial, NJ60 contributionsWonderful wine and cigar bar! And beer! Not a “MAN’S place. Stopped with my husband and I did not feel intimidated by the men smoking cigars. Nice glass of wine, my husband had his cigar and beer and we relaxed on the veranda. Highly recommend! - wayne rVancouver, Canada77 contributionsAfter driving by this place for years we decided to stop in for a drink and am I ever glad we did. The Aero Club is the best whisky bar that I have ever been to. They must have over 900 different bottles and they have a catalog which is as thick as a small town phone book listing and describing them all. I usually just ask the bartender to surprise me and I have never been disappointed.
They also have other alcohols and beers for the non whisky drinker.
This is a really cool retro place that legend says was owned by a female pilot who opened the bar in the 1940's so she would have somewhere to drink with her friends.
The atmosphere is welcoming and cozy and the service is great. The bartenders sure do know their whisky. Even the casual or novice whisky drinker will be happy here.
I can't say enough good things about this place and that is why we keep going back.Written June 17, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Also, be sure to catch the most beautiful sunsets here over a glass of wine. Unfortunately they do not have a happy hour in case you were wondering. This is a perfect place to stop in for a cocktail to wrap up a day sightseeing at Seaport Village or Coronado.Written January 13, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Aleta wThe Villages, FL247 contributionsPretty classy place for great music and dancing. The dancefloor is small but acceptable when the place is not crowded. They have a good variety of entertainment every week ranging from jazz to funk to bluegrass.
The ambiance is good. It used to get overcrowded, but lately they have started taking reservations to keep the number of people in line with the number of seats. Service is good. It would be nice if they had a more expanded menu but what have they is acceptable.Written January 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - RonnieSan Diego, CA223 contributionsEverything I tasted I liked. Keep walking through the main bar after grabbing your drinks and head out to the right, up the stairs to the back patio. Nice open space with exposed brewing vats so you can hang out and drink where the beer making action happens. Nice neighborhood feel. Highly recommend.Written July 27, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Rich TRutherford, NJ92 contributionsGreat bar food, nice pours, very nice selection of beers. Bartenders are amazing. The first thing they do when you go in is great you and ask your name. Very friendly, we went in again the next day and the bar tender greeted us by name and asked if we wanted the same as the night before.... amazing lady. Great atmosphere and fun.Written February 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
