Fantastic place for adventurous kids, loads of things for them to do, we were OK in Autumn, but probably long Qs for most popular things in Summer

We stopped to visit the Old Pack Horse Bridge whilst holidaying in Aviemore, so glad we did!!! The views were amazing (the pictures don’t do it justice) we explored the viewing platforms and then took a walk along the footpath at the side of bridge (garage side). The walk was just a beautiful and there were several points along the walk that you could go down to the water.

Visited Carrbridge many times over the last few years. Course is always in immaculate condition which is a credit to their two Greenkeepers. Gets overlooked due to Boat of Garten and Spey Valley in my opinion but it's shouldn't. Many of the holes require well placed tee shots to get a good score. Driver not always needed. Definitely worth a visit and a must play if in the area.

Leisurely walk from Carrbridge taking about 2 hours from the car park in the centre.
Head past the packhorse bridge and follow the road (cycle track 7) past the Feith Mhor lodge (on the right) then over a cattle grid and cut right past a locked gate into the forest.
Head downhill towards the bridge - about 10 minutes from the road.
You can return the same way or head over the bridge and cut right past some ruins and head through the gate and continue to loop into the top end of Carrbridge.
You do need to cross the A9 at one point so be careful.
The views across country and down to the Dulnain are lovely.

Both Jeff and his wife are really accomplished artists in a variety of media and prices are very reasonable.

Only a small shop but full of interesting things. Reindeer skins are beautiful. The owner was very helpful with local information.
