What travelers are saying
- Jacqui CInverness, UK631 contributionsWhat a gem! Firstly, it was free, donations accepted. We took the lift to the top floor and worked our way around the museum and down the circular stairs! Learning about the very interesting history of Aberdeen, from fishing port to oil over the centuries, with many interactive features. Staff on each floor to assist with enquiries, we spent a very enjoyable 1.5 hours on a damp Thursday morning in March.
Definitely worth a visit.Written March 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is an old fishing village area of Aberdeen with a distinctive layout of small colourful and differing distinctive cottages very close together. There are also a small number of business premises and the "streets" within the area are mainly paved paths rather than roads. Visitors need to respect the privacy of residents, when walking around the localityWritten February 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Samantha JHamilton, Canada4 contributionsHuge beautiful castle ruins! It was an easy 20 minute walk from the bus station. There is nobody working there you just come and go as you please. It’s right on the edge of the cliffs so use common sense while exploring. Definitely worth the trip to Peterhead!Written September 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Analia M12 contributionsGreat clean place, with friendly staff and interactive activities as well. I especially love the spot wherein you can make your own drawings 🙂 I have been to the art gallery many times since I moved to Aberdeen last Sept, and I love it.Written March 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Stay8124871 contributionAlways a joy to go to the Aberdeen Science Centre with my two girls (7 and 5) who have both loved it for years now. There's a great variety of attractions for different age groups, and interactive sessions with the science guides throughout the day. Definitely a great recommendation for a rainy day in Aberdeen!Written March 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Richie19 contributionsWhat an outstanding gem this place is. Absolutely beautiful, especially the indoor gardens. We went on a visit to relatives in Aberdeen and spent a lovely afternoon there. We were amazed at how lovely the place is and of the information about each plant/area that was on show, detailing not only the plants, but the history behind them and of how they became part of Duthie Park Gardens. All finished off with a lovely afternoon cuppa in the cafe where the service was great. Would highly recommend if ever you find yourself in Aberdeen and are looking for a relaxing afternoon.Written October 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Karen MKirkwall, UK668 contributionsSmall, idyllic garden tucked away, just around the corner from the Gordan Highlanders Museum, off Viewfield Road. Includes a small free car park. The paths twist around & through the shrubs & plants. There are numerous bridges crossing over small streams & water. With co bled paths in some of the steeper inclines - but all can be accessed with push/wheel chair. Lots of benches placed around to sit & enjoy. With ducks swimming in the pond.
A small play area for children too.

We especially loved the story of Jake the Ghost
It will make our next visit to His Majesty's more special knowing what goes on behind the stage ( picture attached) and how the theatre has changed.Written October 1, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There is a cafe centrally, and a hut selling drinks and snacks. The cafe had a good choice of drinks, meals and cakes, but the service was a little slow. Well worth a visit!Written August 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
