Definitely worth a visit if you're in town. Beautiful symmetry in an X shape instead of cross-shaped. Not too ornately decorated.

it is our favorite beach - wild - long and no umbrella renting. the way down and up is challenging - the less you carry - the better it is - good shoes are recommended although there are people with flip flops
very disappointing the restaurant - not for the food which is acceptable- but for all the plastics they started to use - awful! a year ago they still served in ceramic plates - now just one way plastic - a big step backwards what a pity and what a shame.
Fun is putting on the body the loam which you find at the end on the left of the beach watching the water (called also il trave)
do not stay too long on that side as sometimes peaces of mountain fall down ...

Great beach with some restaurants. We really enjoyed the mountains around us. You can feel the nature here. A must if you are in Ancona.

strolling along the Vile de la Vittoria form the monumento to Piazza Cavour and further to Piazza Roma, pedestria Garibaldi thorough fare you traverse a town that is often neglected and left to the port facilities. The views from the monumento on to the Adriatic element, the elevation, the buildings and the long stroll through the main urban axis is unforgettable, revealing, enriching and the monuments and residential and public buildings of scenic value espacially until the evening twilight, to be completed.

I visited this with one friend and we guided each other while wearing the sleeping mask and trying to guess what the statues represented. It was an amazing experience for me not only because of the great art, but also because of the different feeling of feeling the art.
The crafts made by children in the last room are also great!

I enjoyed a visit almost free of other people. The entrance lead directly to the new part, ie new floor, simple alter, above the old original floor. There were glass panels in the floor to see the original part below. Then I went downstairs to look around the old flooring where the mosaics were exposed.
It was a brief tour but it was wonderful to walk almost in the footsteps of worshippers from centuries before. Also, to appreciate their workmanship, remembering how laborious it all was but how strong their faith was to build such a significant place of worship

An ancient marble monument built between 114 and 117 AD to honour the Roman Emperor Trajan and still standing loud and proud today. My wife and I had a short stop off in Ancona whilst on a cruiser and we relished the opportunity to view this amazing sight.

18th century fortress apparently on an artificial island. Once used as a leper colony, it went on to fulfil an important military use during the First World War. These days it’s home to a tactile museum where you can touch and feel the artefacts.

Luckily I was invited by a friend who has a Grotto. A superb place to chill out with a swim sundowners and supper. There is the charm of being by the sea, and sometimes a glorious view if there is a full moon, but its a good walk back up though!

The port of Ancona is located in the middle of the Adriatic Sea and is divided into passenger and ferry terminals, container terminals and solid bulk plants. The port has a strategic function in the Adriatic-Ionian Macro Region, as a terminal for international ferry lines to Greece, Croatia, and Albania.
