This is a gem of a museum and the docents are warm, welcoming and very well informed. The collection of Castelli ceramics is extensive and nicely curated.

Wonderful property in a wonderful, enchanted area of Italy. In many ways, our visit was like staying in a museum or living out a dream. The facility was older, well kept and a real thrill for anyone who enjoys history. The staff was both exceptional and helpful making dinner reservations off site and booking a tour of local olive orchard for our group.

This museum was included with a visit to the Ceramics Museum. The antique olive oil making equipment and the accompanying information from the docent was an unexpected treat!

We were the only two visitors on Saturday morning. Stark beauty on the outside, amazing frescoes on the inside. The views of the old town from the top of the hill are breathtaking.

Don't be deceived by the signage out the front - the park is private and not generally open to tourists. You can access it only at certain times of the year and in the company of a guide. I recommend you visit the website although there are only 3 open dates listed as far as I can see which would make it difficult to plan ahead. We were curious about this park because we have often walked past it but never seen it open. We happened to be there when the gate was open and wandered in only to be unceremoniously escorted from the park as if we could not be trusted to take the short walk out on our own. Our interest in the park is purely botanical as we have a property nearby which we visit annually and we would like to find out more about indigenous species of plants so that we can plant them ourselves. It looks like we will be doing our research online.

This is basically the olive oil museum. It is essential for your museum guide to explicate the ingenious use of natural materials in the early days and to explain the pressing, separation, and piping processes. The staff is well-trained and can compare culinary features of Abruzzo's olive oil versus those of other regions. You will find a discount for purchasing the combined ticket to this museum together with the ceramic museum around the corner.
