I had 2-hr free time only for lunch in this place amid the one-day Dracula's Castle and Peles Castle from Bucharest. After my lunch at the square, I had actually not much time left. I found it a nice, cozy and beautiful area to walk around. Not crowded with tourists is a plus.

The bus terminal is 5 mins away on foot from the town centre. There's a toilet next to the bus station which is very helpful.

During a Halloween trip to Romania, my wife and I visited Sighişoara, Braşov, Bran, and Sibiu. We really enjoyed what each city had to offer. However, we really enjoyed this remarkable stop on our tour. Perhaps, it was because our tour guide was born and raised in Braşov, perhaps not. We just loved the openess of this main square. There is so much to see and do with lots of shopping and plenty of dining facilities. Make sure your visit to Romania inudes Braşov.

Came here for the third time today and every time it was such a calm and beautiful hike. Each time I got to the peak by the stairs (although this path is pretty hidden) and descended on the "serpentine". The scenary from the top is stunning and you can enjoy a drink at the bar next to the cable car building. This bar also has a toilet.

My wife and I visited Braşov during a Halloween tour of Romania. Our tour guide was from Braşov so she gave us an outstanding presentation on this amazing city. We began at Catherine's Gate (Romanian: Poarta Ecaterinei, German: Katharinentor, Hungarian: Katalin-kapu), which was built by the Tailors’ Guild, in 1559 for defensive purposes to replace an old gate destroyed by a flood in 1526. It is named after St. Catherine's Monastery that was situated here in former times. It is the only original city gate to have survived from medieval times. In fact, the central tower is only a part of the original gate. Documents talk about the existence of a wooden structure which was demolished in 1827. The original structure can be seen at the Weaver's Bastion where the large model of Brașov in 1600 is displayed. It is best to enter the city here to begin your visit to Braşov.

My friends and I stopped by this site when looking around Brasov, and were invited to join a school tour by two very friendly guides. Ioan in particular was lovely, very passionate and inclusive. We even got sung the Romanian national anthem to by the group of children. We learnt more about Romanian culture and even got nice souvenirs.

It was a 10/10 experience and I would recommend everyone to come to this lovely attraction.

Nice place with a lazy river and saunas but kinda few things to do. Went there with family and we alternated between the lazy river and the saunas. Good for a few hours but not for a whole day

A very cool experience, we didn't live in the communist period but we were affected by the influence it left in the society. It is a truly fun experience, the museum is interactive and very true to the period.

A super narrow cobblestone street covered in graffitti. Not recommended for claustrophobic people. It's said to be one of the narrowest street in Europe. Anyway, it's worth visiting in a hot sunny day, if you're looking for a shady place.

We purchased a one way ticket to the top which was approx £2.60. You can buy the tickets from the Tamba Cable Car station. There were no queues and you can pay with card.
The ride is under 2 minutes to the top, there is a snack shop if you want to buy drinks etc.
You then take a short walk along a path which leads you to the Brasov sign that you can see from the city centre. There were some amazing views at the top. We decided to walk down through the forest , the trail is easy to follow and it is very cool in the forest going down. It took us around an hour to get back to the bottom, we enjoyed the walk down taking in the sights and noises of the forest.
A must do if you are in Brasov.
