A wonderful museum to visit in an old castle in the heart of the city. It hosts numerous exhibitions and all are translated to English as well. Entrance fee very cheap.

Beginner and advanced slopes at 2km from the town center. A nice after-ski bar with mulled wine, hot tea and many others. A good escape from the usual foggy landscape for a good coffee in the sunshine also:)

It is not only the monastery but the whole conglomerate if places of Csiksomlyo worth to visit.
    Things to see:
    - the beautiful baroque Basilica, hosting the world's largest statue of Virgin Mary made of one single piece of wood. It's a miracle making statue, every year on Saturday before Pentecost there is a HUGE pilgrimage (approx. 300 000-400 000 people) in the honor of Virgin Mary. If you're lucky you can also hear the church organ twich is not very large but with a specially good sound. Many concerts and recordings of organists are made here.
    - the Franciscan Monastery, former home of Johannes Kajoni, who wrote one of the very important books on mediaeval music and also vas a famous composer, organist, book printer and teacher. His statue can be seen in the monastery's courtyard. In that same courtyard you also can find some old (and interesting) sun-dials.
    - the hill of Csiksomyo with chapels and Calvaria Stations. Most notable is the Salvator chapel
    - the naturally sparkling mineral water spring and mineral water baths of Baratok Feredoje

You can spend a good couple of hours around these attractions, and after have a good meal at the Vardomb restaurant (cca. 300 m walk).
The monks are very welcoming and good hosts.

It’s probably the most important Roman-Catholic Marian sanctuary in Romania, a country where the Orthodox Church dominates. The church is quite majestic. Inside what stands out is the Virgin’s altar where one finds lots of ex-votos (demonstration of people’s faith). Enjoy!

It was a lot of fun, the game host was really nice and explained the rules in a fun and clear way. It was easy to find the place and the atmosphere was pleasant as well. We had a blast, it's perfect for anybody who likes mystery, challenges, and wants to have fun!

We did the Bicaz Gorges and Red Lake tour. It was really amazing experience, very well organised, the tour guide Istvan was very friendly, he knows the paths very well and shared a lot of interesting information during the hike. The tours are adapted to your level of physical condition, which is great!
    Would warmly recommend!
