When we arrived at the hotel, which is directly on the sea front, it was late. The the pathway to the hotel was well lit, as was the parking. The staff were super polite and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Once we were shown to our room, the lady returned with some complimentary Prosecco, which, after a long day was the perfect tonic! The room was spotlessly clean, had a walk-in shower, free WIFI and a great selection of teas, coffee and chocolates. Breakfast was superb! Everything was freshly cooked from good quality produce. Would recommend!

Went for breakfast staff were really friendly, breakfast super tasty I had the mushroom Bruschetta with an egg! Kris who was serving me told me there was live music and spoken word later which I went to see and was amazing, they have loads of cool events on and beautiful view for a drink in the summer.

Very comfortable hotel, and very welcoming staff. Also a great location where you can just step out onto the promenade. Although possibly not a frequent issue on the west coast of Wales, we really appreciated the air conditioning in the unusually hot weather!

We ate at the restaurant, had one of their meat and cheese platters. The food and drinks were delicious and laid out so nicely. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, very chatty. Was nice to sit facing the sea on a lovely day with good food.

Unbeatable views, great food and lovely staff. They often have amazing local talent performing music or exhibiting art which is always a pleasure to attend. A credit to the local community with reasonably priced drinks and food for the location and aesthetic of the place. And does brilliant work giving a sophisticated space for local artists to showcase their work. I would highly recommend the Gwesty rain or shine. A gorgeous seafront garden and a cosy inside.

This is such a lovely friendly little spot right across from the sea so you can enjoy gorgeous views while sipping a glass of wine, which I luckily get to do regularly. The owner staff are all really helpful, especially Kris, and there is a good selection of wines spirits and cocktails. Watching the sun go down into the sea from its terrace with a glass of wine in your hand it really is the best spot for it in Aberystwyth.

Do not stay here! Unfortunately we stayed here two nights and reset every minute. The hotel is located right on the waterfront and is a converted house. The young girl at check-in was totally useless. Our room on the second floor did have a perfect view of the seafront but that was it. We had the worst two nights sleep we have ever had in any hotel. The room has no air circulation so quickly gets hot and stuffy. There is no A/C and the one opening window does not open much and does not stay open so we had to prop something underneath to leave a small gap. We could hear someone in the room above us so loudly and well into the night as though there was a tap dancing studio. You can hear every sound from adjacent rooms as the walls must be paper thin. There are spotlights shining

We arrived at reception 2.15pm, no one on reception, woman who normally cooks food dealt with us, she let us go into our room number 3, 45mins early which was good. Friends arrived 10mins later, number 5 room. Shower was good, they supplied shampoo/shower gel/shower cap and body lotion. Toilet flush not working that well, had to push button numerous times before flushed, "needs sorting". Bed comfy, plenty of choice with pillows. They supplied tea/coffee/hot chocolate drinks and couple of biscuits in room. Hotel close to all amenities, very good. We ate out as a good variety of restaurants close by, we ate at Paprika bit pricey but very good. Breakfast was a farce, we ordered 1 full breakfast, 2 bubble and squeak, sausage sandwich, had our free drinks pretty quick, 1 hour

Stayed in its "sister" Air B&B for the university reunion weekend and had three excellent and slightly unusual breakfasts here. Staff were delightful and it was very reasonably priced. Can't comment on the accommodation but if the food is anything to go by I'm sure it's absolutely fine.
