Detailed Reviews
Reception:
Efficient and polite staff.
They could not do enough to assist me.
Room / facilities:
Room number 266 is on the 1st floor with pool and grassed area views and is relatively clean, although we did find a “ball of hair” on the the floor and built up dust in some areas.
Bottled water is provided in the room fridge.
The room has a very comfortable double bed, 4 x pillows, single seat and mini desk, tea and coffee facilities, large flat screen TV, in room phone, mini fridge, work desk, safe, clothes hanging area, seperate toilet and bathroom. The bathroom had a walk in shower, with a rain head and additional hand held shower head.
Towels were a little thin, but did the job.
The room has a large window that opens fully, with light and heavy curtains.
An Air conditioning control is in the room, but is operated by the central hotel controller.
Despite the hotel being near a main road and tram stop, is it blissfully quiet.
Parking:
There is plenty of on site car parking which is at no cost and has boom gates at the entrance and exit.
Wifi:
Very fast and reliable.
Breakfast:
Buffet breakfast is available, depending on your accomodation package, it may be at an additional cost, and is available at the ground floor bar/restaurant area.
Dinner is also available for additional cost.
Neither of these food options were utilised during my stay.
Conclusion:
Whilst this hotel is a little far from the centre of town, it is walkable in about 20-30 minutes.
The tram stop is a 2 min walk and will take you to the Church and Chateau in the town centre.
The hotel offers peace and quiet, loads of parking, a pool, outdoor rest area and kids play area.
The hotel also caters for tour buses.
I would highly recommend this hotel.
Letdowns:
Distance from town, but the tram stop just outside the main entrance, makes up for this.

This was our first hotel stay in France, within days of the quarantine having been lifted, and it put us very much at ease with the measures in place, enabling us to enjoy our time in Normandy. In particular, the restaurant and waiting staff were superb. Several dishes on the menu reflected the local area, and we were pleasantly surprised by its good value (19 euros for 2 courses). The menu also changed on the second night of our stay. A special mention must go to Stefan in the restaurant who was exceptional in his service and so incredibly friendly, even playing badminton with our two boys whilst we enjoyed a digestif of the local ‘44 Calvados (well worth sampling!).

Good sized room , great bed =great sleep. Quiet , comfortable and a great shower .
Safe & free Parking. Very friendly and helpful staff .
Restaurant in the evening , breakfast in the morning . Dinner in the evening was good not very good or great ! Breakfast was great great choice and many good things to eat .
Great staff service for both .
Room price was a little pricey as the cost was 126€ , (I think an internet price was 110€ and would liked to have been offered that when I booked on the phone. )
Despite being pricey , parking is free , room was great overall and very easy access off the Cherbourg road . I would stay again and will do so.

This hotel was everything we needed in a stopover hotel......nice, quiet room (overlooking pool), really comfy bed, pleasant staff, walking distance ( just over a mile each way) of town for restaurants so we were able to stretch our legs and get a meal (though you could also eat in the hotel) and very easy access to the motorway for arriving and leaving. We’d definitely use again and highly recommend.

Stayed for 4 nights to visit the D-Day Beaches and exhibitions. A couple of observations from our experience:
1. Avoid parking under the trees in the car park as bird deposits make a mess of the car and in fact proved difficult to remove without damaging the paintwork.
2. There's not too much in the immediate vicinity by way of bars or restaurants which means walking into Caen.
3. On two days we were only left one set of towels and no milk for hot drinks in the room. This was sorted by the reception but couldn't understand why this would happen as it was a twin room with clearly two people occupying it.
Reception staff spoke fluent English and were very helpful and amenable.

Excellent access, location perfect for war memorials and checking in was very smooth. However disappointed by room that was dated and uninspiring after Rennes Novotel, fridge had to be changed due to an obvious smell and no option to choose from the evening menu - you had to join the coach parties through summer on the buffet at €30 per person. We selected alternative restaurants for our evening meals.

Hotel is ideal location for D-Day Driving Tour, Mt St Michel, & Bayeux Tapisserie visits. Only issue is the hotel is a bit of a distance from the night life of Caen. For convenience, we ate in the hotel restaurant each evening due to an exhaustive driving schedule.
Front desk was very helpful; room was large and comfortable; restaurant service (breakfast & dinner) hit the spot; hotel is close the the highway and parking is free.
Should I visit Normandy again, will stay at this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay here and most of the staff was very friendly and kind. Overall we were very happy, even when we had an issue in the room which was our fault. The staff quickly responded and resolved the issue. Our only complaint was the cleaning staff knocked on our door at 10:00 and repeatedly kept knocking and even swiped into the room while we were moving bags to the car. She didn’t seem to get that weren’t out of the room yet. This made us feel rushed and “pushed out the door”, forcing us to forget a couple of low-value belongings. With a checkout time of 12:00 we felt this was awkward, strange, and annoying. Aside from that, it was a good stay.

The 4 -star hotel is located in the outskirt of Caen city and next to a motorway exit. Very easy to access by driving and there is a tram station as well.
Good quality food served in the restaurant, we all enjoyed the meals during our stay here. The restaurant staff were brilliant as well.
Well maintained Outdoor dinning and the pool areas.
The only downside was, cleanses of the room on the first day wasn't satisfactory, however we noticed a good improvement during our stay.
The room decor could be better as well!

On the map the hotel looks well located but it is a 20 minute walk to the older part of town. Reaching the hotel is not as straightforward as the map suggest and you do need to be very careful to avoid the tramlines and remain in the designated single lane for motor vehicles.
We booked the hotel as it had a secure carpark and a restaurant. Unfortunately when we tried to reserve a table for the evening the hotel said there is only room service available and they couldn't confirm what food they would provide until they checked what the kitchen had available. Lunch was average but the breakfast was better. We did find an alternative restaurant the Republique Cote Jardin which was excellent and a 10 minute walk from the hotel.
