I booked the Messeschlaf for a quick overnight stay during BOOT, the ten day water activities/scuba diving show at Messe. Check in was very quick and efficient, I loved the friendliness of the owner who speaks perfect English and helped me with some queries as to local takeaway delivery. I had booked a single room and it by far exceeded my expectations: spotlessly clean, some toiletries provided, it had a desk, super fast free WiFi, a small sofa and a comfortable full sized single bed. In short, a perfect hotel for a quick visit to Düsseldorf if you would rather not pay the much higher central Düsseldorf prices. Lohausen might not appear as the first choice when visiting Düsseldorf but it has excellent connections by bus directly to the airport (the bus stop is a few mins on foot from the hotel) and a Tram line within a short walk from the hotel (around 15mins) if you wish to get into town or to the exhibition centre at Messe.

Absolutely the worst hotel experience i have so far. My train was delayed so i couldn't make in time and was ten minutes over twelve at this hotel. Before we arrived we had contact with a man that was very helpful and he told us it was not a problem. At arrival we waited a few minutes and the lady (probably the owner) walked in and just told us to be silent.. Even without greeting us. According to this lady guests were sleeping but the radio was playing in the hall and was even louder than us. When we wanted to explain why we were too late but she told us that we can leave if we want, and we did... Who wants to sleep at a place like this. I could not believe that these kind of people can be so rude. Never had this experience before and hopefully never again. Good luck to the man that was helpful and also good luck to you lady. Maybe you need to follow a course were you learn how you treat people. Unbelievable...

Very basic hotel, close to the Airport. Clean rooms but in general nothing special, anyway It could be a good solution for a short staying if you have a reduced budget. Just check the Windows, I find it open and the outside temperature was almost zero (inside not much more).

The hotel is small, clean and comfortable. I stay here because price and the ICE train was late to my plane. I think that there is always free rooms for one day. The breakfast was tasty and nothing to complain. I think that there is more services then price because one reason. The hotel is near of Düsseldorf airport and over the head flying the planes. For me that is not problem and airport stop at 23.35 to 6.45. The area Lohause is nice. I find very nice and old park Lanz'scher Park here and restaurant. Also the Messe is not far. If you need to stay and you have small budget, then there is the place.

Close to airport with a couple of good restaurants nearby. Very small bed. Price nearly 200Euro/night (during the exhibition period...) The vicinity of the airport could be bothersome, but for me it was not a big problem.

Nice cleen little hotel. But the noise level is insane. I did not spend the night in the room, but, the afternoon and early evening. And it was +100 dB every 10 minute! I do not recommended a stay in this hotel unless you are deaf!

We stayed for 2 nights in this small family owned hotel. The hotel has only 12 rooms. Very friendly staff (family members ), very clean and spacious room with basics like toiletries, hair dryer, mini fridge, hot water kettle and free WiFi. Breakfast was very good. Highly recommended.

I stayed in Hotel Messeschlaf in Dusseldorf for 4 nights on a business trip. The hotel was conveniently located within a 15 minute walk of the Messe arena and a 5 minute walk to a tram stop. Although small in size, the hotel was very clean and the rooms were very spacious and inviting. The only downside (for me) was that it was also located very close to the airport which proved to be very loud in the mornings - a handy location if you have a plane to catch though! The breakfast provided was continental and included a selection of pastries, bread, meats and cheese. The rooms were cleaned every day and were kept immaculate. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, this was a very pleasant stay in a convenient location - ideal for access to the Messe arena and not too far away for those who want to venture in to the city. I would definitely recommend it to those traveling to Dusseldorf on business.

I had to spend one few hours in Dusseldorf as i was in transit for my trip. My company booked the room for me. The receptionist was waiting for me few meters away from the Hotel to welcome me. He speaks English which was of great value for me and the room was according to a 3 stars standard. The bathroom, and the general cleaning was perfect and I fell very confortable. They have a nice porche and big parking space if you are driving. I thank all the attention recived. Price was good too (58 € per night). I didn't have brakefast because I had to leave before they open the restaurant.

Hotel runned by nice and friendly people. Good prices, nice breakfast, nice room size. Location is ok, the only thing is that too close to airport so every plane is taking off is a bit loud, but only if the windows are opened, so keep em closed and it will be fine.
