This hotel is on a business estate on the outskirts of Bologna, with lovely modern rooms, and the best breakfast we had on our tour of Italy. As well as the usual buffet they give you a choice of sweet (various croissants etc.)!or savoury (meat, cheese, and scrambled egg). The staff were friendly and helpful. Taxi from train station was €12, return trip €17.

We were only going to be there one night and we just needed a place to crash after the drive from Cinque Terra. Great drive through the mountains but stressful. We had easy unloading and parking and a very commercial American style travelers hotel. It was not at all old or quaint, but it served our purpose and was close enough to the old city. We used their restaurant for breakfast and it was fine. The place serves a very nice buffet and it is priced at only 7 euro. The room was small but comfortable but we never unpacked. I don't think you could do any business there but they did have wi-fi and flat screen TV.

I stayed at the hotel during a frantically busy trade show. This was my second stay here, having stayed several years earlier. This hotel is just fabulous. It’s simply laid out, but so smoothly and effortlessly run, by the loveliest staff I ever met. The staff speak great English, and despite being flat out, always had time for the guests. I had room service one evening, and ordered the Tagliatelle....wow! Absolutely amazing, the lady that does the cooking has amazing talents. The breakfast is extensive and plentiful. With regards to access to the trade fair, it’s easy walking distance, which is perfect as no need for taxis or public transport. I also want to comment on how clean the hotel is too, cleaner than a lot of 5 star hotels I’ve stayed in. The mattress so comfortable I’d love one this comfortable at home! And I’ve never felt like that over a hotel mattress before! I’d highly recommend this fabulous hotel with such warm friendly staff.

The hotel and the service is so good. Nice buffet breakfast for 7 euros as well. The only bad point I could say about this hotel is the location. You will need a taxi to go to the airport or to the centre. There is a bus but hard to take them in the night time if you wanna go for dinner. The rooms were good (confortable beds) and clean.

Nice modern and comfortable hotel, with average prices and very nice design. Located outside Bologna City center, far from any transport station. Buses stop on the highway, so you walk near the road to get there. Not close to any restaurants or supermarket. Buses have a very reduced frequency especially during the weekends, where the last one to get back from the central station is at 2 pm. I only recommend this hotel if you have your own means of transport. This is not a suitable hotel for the average traveller.

Hidden costs, and basic needs not met in anyway, I stayed here solo to see the city and this was the only available hotel, I read the reviews and was shocked to see it was available, But after staying I can safely say this hotel is not what it seems.... I paid an already pricey amount then hidden extras... constant noises throughout the night... Prostitutes so this hotel is not for families at all, And due to the fact that shops or places to get snacks or drinks are no where to be seen I would have thought this hotel had some sort of machine.... nothing, The room was dirty and staff were extremely unhelpful and lacked experience, This hotel won’t be recommended to anyone I know, next time I think I’ll avoid this area and hotel

Hotel Michelino is a decent stay away from the CBD of Bologna. Be wary that the neighbourhood that this hotel is in is a little rough, with many abandoned lots nearby and the odd streetwalker or two sourcing business at the corner. These points cannot be held against the hotel though, these are just points worth considering if you are perhaps thinking of a 'family' trip. We did not feel unsafe staying here. The room I had was very clean, well stocked, had a safe and a television with many channels. The restaurant on the ground floor was good and the service there and at the front desk was prompt and helpful. The only issue we had was being far from town (you can take a bus into town from a bus-stop about 500meters away but we found getting back a little more difficult). Overall it was a decent stay.

We stayed here for a short business trip. We decided to take our kids with us too. The Good. The hotel is generally clean and the staff are nice, helpful and approachable. There is a free carpark which is a good feature. The Bad Breakfast albeit free for us, was very poor. Limited cooked foods, loads of pastries. The hotel have tried to keep the look modern, but it is quite worn out. The Ugly The hotel is situated in an area where there is a high number of prostitutes. There was an RV type vehicle situated near the main entrance, with the lady driver exposing various bits, which were quite disgraceful. It seems that the ladies who 'work' the area also frequent the hotel, as i saw many of them during breakfast time. We were booked in for 3 nights, after arriving at 9am after the first night, we felt 1 night was enough.

Nice location and great deal of privacy. Mc Donald's at the opposite fiera di Bologna in less than 60 meters. Great fresh breakfast. Clean rooms Best if you are traveling in a group or using a car. Fresh Japanese foods near the hotel, pizza joints, Chinese restaurants. Really amazing.

Clean and tidy hotel, perfect for transit travelers to stay a night or two in Bologna. There is a minibar and a hairdryer in the room, but no kettle, no glasses and no cups. Very good sleep quality due to special blackout curtains on the windows. Breakfast is good. Parking is safe.
