We booked with a combined Easyjet flight and hotel for a 3 night break over a early March 2024 weekend. We had a hire car and opted to park on the free street parking on the road opposite side of hotel (as hotel side is all reserved) and did not use the optional payable enclosed hotel parking garaging. We always found a space within only a few minutes walk of the hotel throughout our visit. We had Room 104 on the ground floor which was spacious and modern (walk through breakfast area to access). With window ajar we could hear people walking along the street to the front at night. Breakfast was included for us - and is one of the best we've had in Iceland with cooked bacon and scrambled egg, pastries, yogurt, fruit an toast etc. Reception areas and bar are small and basic but staff friendly and helpful. About a 10/15 minute walk to Rainbow Street in the evening with other food outlets including Reyjavik Kitchen at end of the Fosshotel Raudara road itself.

Just returned from a 4 days in Iceland and stay at the Foss Hotel Raudara. On arrival at midday on 01/03/24 we checked in and were surprised/happy that we could go straight to our room. We were given room 103 which was a nice, modern big room, however the room would not lock. We went to reception who were very helpful and gave us a new room 102 which was equally nice and modern. We paid extra for the breakfast and I’m so glad we did. Breakfast starts 7-10 and there is a huge choice of continental breakfast, cooked breakfast, cereals, fruit etc. We also had a few drinks in the bar, the hotel does do “Happy Hours” which is a plus considering how expensive alcohol is in Reykjavik. I want to say a huge THANK YOU to two receptionist during our stay “Alla” and “Katarina” who were always so friendly and helpful.

Had a 4 night stay in Iceland. The hotel was fantastic! Great location, cosy rooms, lovely staff. If staying here definitely add on the breakfast lots of choice and sets you up for the day. They also provide takeaway cups so you can have a coffee to go! We will be returning to this beautiful country ❤️

As usual moans first, as you may guess from the title its about the tea and coffee. They are only minor nigly things but are so annoying. Firstly, filling the kettle from the tap is impossible, you need to decant the water from a glass into the kettle, it wont fit under the tap, the cups are small, so unless you like a couple of mouthfuls of really strong coffee you only need half a tube, and you only get powdered creamer, no milk, so no tea despite there being tea bags. Like i say only minor but really annoying. The hotel is really nice and friendly staff greet you on arrival. The bedrooms are spacious with a nice shower and TV, beds are very comfy and the room is lovely and warm. Breakfast is plentiful with several things to choose from buffet style, bacon & eggs, cheese & meats, yoghurt & fruit/nuts and pastries and all is very nice. Initial thoughts would be that the bar would be cold and drafty being opposite the main enttrance but it wasn't. Not too far to walk for the main street for food and drink. Can't wait to return and complete the things we never had time to this time, 4 days is not long enough to see everything.

Recently returned from a 4 day stay at the Fosshotel Raudara. Rooms could use an update, but everything was functional. Room was clean, beds were comfortable and room was lovely and warm. There was some noise from guests returning to room but not excessive. The breakfast was great, both cooked and continental and set you up for the day. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Location wise it’s about a 5min walk to the start of Main Street through Reykjavik, we had a view of the Main church from our room and it was a 10 min walk. The area around the hotel is not very picturesque (residential) but this similar to our areas.

We stayed here for three nights. It’s a great location just a short walk from central streets but peaceful. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic, great choice. Rooms were warm and very clean…. A little dated in decor but that wasn’t important for us.

The hotel room itself was dated but very clean and warm. The hotel staff were very helpful especially the reception staff - nothing was too much trouble and they helped with booking and rescheduling activities. We will visit Iceland again.

Honest to really can't beat the location, very convenient to restaurants and shopping. But the walls of our room were so thin we could not only understand EXACTLY what the neighboring room was talking about, but were both kept up for periods of the night because of our neighbor's snoring even with a white noise app running.

If looking for a Foss hotel, this is the one to pick in Reykjavik due to it's location. It's in a quiet, mainly residential street, just minutes from the main shopping street. Bus stop 13 is just a few minutes walk away on the same street, and bus stop 9 is close by too. Also on the hotel's street is a fantastic restaurant (Reykjavik Kitchen) next door to Lucky Records (great record shop). The hotel is also about a 30 min walk from Perlan museum (well worth a visit!) in the other direction. Breakfast was great, hotel was quiet, bed was comfortable, and staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
