We stayed in this hotel for 7 nights. We had many of our meals there. The service was friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean. The views from the hotel are truly grand with huge mountains as the backdrop. I will always remember it. Parking was good.

We were recommended to this cute cliff side hotel in Viggiano. The rooms were clean. The staff was pleasant. The location was superb with stunning views. Almost everything in town was closed the night we were there so we ended up at the hotel restaurant for dinner and were pleasantly surprised! The food was absolutely delicious, and our server, Vittorio was super nice and accommodating. Please make sure to have a basic understanding of the Italian language or easy translation as the staff speaks close to no English. Which is OK since we are in Italy! But be prepared for that. The town is within walking distance. I highly recommend this great value hotel. The pricing of the rooms was just what we needed for our one night stay between travel. And the small breakfast included in the room cost was perfect right before we headed back out onto the road. Very happy with our experience!

We stayed here for 4 nights during the Festa of the Madonna, the busiest time for this area and yet the price of this hotel was very reasonable at only 77 euros including breakfast. Our room was very large with a balcony overlooking a view of the valley. It was very clean and seems to have been recently updated. The bathroom was also very roomy, but the enclosed shower was tight and hard to move around in. The breakfast offerings were ok. There is parking available, either at the front of the hotel or in the back in an secure car park. The hotel is very central to the main street and also the church. Would recommend

Basic hotel with great view of the valley from each room. This hotel has a bar, serves breakfast and dinner. There is a bank with an ATM located next door. Several restaurants are in walking distance.

I have stayed in this hotel many times and have always been made to feel extremely welcome. The views from the restaurant, the patio and rooms overlooking the valley are pretty cool by any standards; the food in the restaurant is very good. My stays were usually for 3 weeks at a time and I really was treated like a family member. Very clean and centrally located with a couple of good restaurants within a short walk. Great staff, some English spoken. I can honestly say that I have always been looked after in this hotel and they have always made the effort to go the extra mile. It is my # 1 hotel in the area.

Accommodation was very clean and I had an apartment which was large though a bit sterile. The food in the restaurant is limited though very good and excellent value. Staff are very friendly though English is not spoken very much, this did not prove to be a problem though. Car parking is very limited at the front of the hotel but there is ample at the back which is approached on a different road. I enkoyed my 2 week stay and will likely stay there again.

The hotel is a bit dated but clean. The view from the balcony is great and breakfast was reasonable. International TV stations were available but WIFI was limited to one password per device, not sure if we could have had multiple passwords. Unfortunately our shower was cold on our second night stay at night and also cold very early the next morning. A short walk to the main piazza and some nice cafes.

Accommodation was in a lovely clean hotel. Staff were lovely considering we were there at the bussiest time of the year. The meals we had in the hotel were also lovely & well prepared. Accommodation, food & service were excellent & well worth the price.

Hotel Dell'Arpa provided my family the most courteous service and modern facilities that were a pleasant surprise for the quaint mountain town of Viggiano. The staff was very helpful and attended to all our needs. Language was not a problem. In the morning, Maria makes great Cappuccino. We experienced true Italian cusine and service in the restaurant. I will recommend Hotel Dell'Arpa to all my friends or relatives who may visit Viggiano.

Stayed here two nights in May 2014. He hotel has been totally renovated since my stay in 1978 and 1987 and has a clean, new feel to it. Tile is everywhere. The staff is helpful although only one man spoke broken english. The doors opened to a small balcony with a fantastic view of the valley below. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom perfect. My only complaints are that the soundproofing in the rooms is poor and you can hear everything in the hall as if it was in the room. The other complaint is that the electrical system is confusing and hard to know which switch to turn what on. You have to leave your key in a slot by the door in order to turn on and keep on the electricity. Never could figure out the ac or how to turn on the tv, although I did not need the tv anyway. The breakfast buffet was typical continental fare only. There are a few parking places in the front with more parking in the rear although it is difficult to drive there.
