Edward took us in at the last minute after our booked accommodation had an incident which left them without power which we were grateful for. He is a knowledgeable and kind host and the accommodation was well equipped with everything we needed to be self sufficient. It is located a fair way from town, so you need a car, which was fine for us, and Edward was able to recommend places to eat, shop and visit.

Liked · The bed was comfortable as was the common area living room. There was beer, wine and sodas in a refrigerator for purchase. There was a refrigerator designated solely for our room. Disliked · Listing for this property states bed and breakfast. Told when we arrived that there was no breakfast and we could buy something at store. Airport pickup listed but was told to rent a car. Pushed back and got airport pickup. Shows hot tub, but probably hasn't been used in months. Free shuttle service listed. Edward was very good at taking us where we wanted when we wanted to but we continually felt we were putting him out due to comments he made. The town central was about about 2 miles away and we didn't want to rent a car. When we left we gave him $61 to cover gas and $14 for wine. However, in all fairness, he never asked for payment. But then he told us that it paid for the gas but not his time, but his listing shows FREE shuttle service. Bottomline is that we feel the listing did not accurately reflect reality.

Edward is a fantastic host, very courteous and knowledgeable about the town. The accommodation is away from the Main Street, but we preferred this. We popped out for dinner and was only a 2 min drive to the eating places. Being underground was lovely and cool, refreshing after a long drive. Laundry facilities and cold drinks to purchase within the room are very convenient. The inside lounge area is communal but no one else was in room 5 (we had room 4) so we had it to ourselves. There is an assortment of beverages stocked in the lounge room, available for guests to purchase. There is an outdoor eating area, attached to a full kitchen, with a clothes washer and dryer. A full size fridge is allocated for each room, so easy to self-cater if you want to. There is an IGA supermarket in town. The bedrooms are nice, tidy and spacious. Bathroom is fresh, clean and lovely hot water. Room 4 has a QB and 2 singles. Our dog was happy with the yard space in the front, and lots of inside room for relaxing. Highly recommend for anyone with or without a pet, and will 100% be back when next passing through.

For a start, Edward is an excellent host. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean and (despite being underground) airy. The facilities provided are of a very high standard. We have now stayed there three times and would love to return.

Two beautifully decorated options available with full ammenities dug into the Coober Pedy sandstone. Hosts have a wealth of local knowledge and advice on the things to see and do whilst in town and the region. Look forward to visiting again in the future.

Very nice place with plenty of amenities - shared bbq, washing machine, lounge area with TV. Owner very friendly and helpful. Rooms and communal areas were impeccably clean with nice toiletries provided. Room was large, beds comfortable. And of course, the novelty of sleeping underground was fun too!

We stayed a night here on our way back from the NT and will definitely be back the next time we head north! Edward is an absolutely delightful host, making sure we had everything we could possibly need and catering to us perfectly. The accommodation itself is extremely well-equipped, neat, and homely. Number of return travellers listed in the guest book is testament to what a wonderful place to stay it is. Recommend booking direct. Thank you for a great stay!
