Perfect hotel, very friendly staff, ideal location, clean room, view for make photo of Castle, totally at the river; TOP !!! We spent with wife only one night in hotel, but we will return back in summer or spring to repeat it for mor than one day. We will without any doubt choose this hotel once again.

The hotel offers check-in at 2:00 pm, which is earlier than the typical 3:00 check-in. However, most hotels will allow for early check-in if the room is ready and available. We arrived for check-in at 1:15pm, only 45 minutes early. The front desk person told us check-in was not until 2:00 and did not even bother to see if our room was ready. When we asked about leaving our luggage, we were directed to just leave it by the wall. The attitude of the front desk person left a bad taste. We went to lunch, came back an hour later and was able to check-in. When we went to our room and got off the elevator, the hallway lights were all off. Once the elevator door closed, it was very dark until we used the light on our cellphones to find our room. This could be dangerous, wandering around in the dark in a new place. We let the front desk know and they did remedy the situation, but after we had to inform her twice. The room itself was spacious as well as the bathroom. The bathroom has a bathtub and a handheld shower head. However, there is no curtain or door to prevent water from splashing everywhere if you try to stand up and take a shower. The holder for the handpiece was also low so you had to hold the hand piece up high if you wanted to shower. This is very inconvenient, especially for washing and rinsing hair. The bathrooms seem like they have been updated recently but they did not think about making it easy to shower, despite the bathroom size being double the typically hotel bathroom for Europe. Everything seemed newer but cheap. The curtains for the windows do not block out light. The carpet was thin and hard. The wi-fi in the room we were in had low signal but was better if we were by the door to the room. Make sure to request a room on a higher floor, we were on the 2nd floor and it seemed easy for people to look into the windows into the room. Breakfast is included and the breakfast is overall good. In the end, I expected more from a 4 star hotel. I will likely look for another place to stay if I return to Cesky Krumlov.

1.Historial building transfer to hotel, but reminded that don’t too much leggage as not convenient to carry them to hotel. From the gate to hotel, the distance was around 10 minutes. But the view if the city was excellent. 2.The lift was closed too quickly and made us felt painful when the door was closed. 3.Wifi connection, he TV connection and the lighting of the room was very weak. The air-conditioning and heater were seems damaged. 4.Breakfast was pretty good.

Based right on the river our room overlooked the river and castle. In the pedestrian area so can only be reached by car between 3.30pm until 10.30am,otherwise you can park outside this area and then drive down when allowed. Parking at the hotel limited so worth checking availability as its a 10 min walk to the nearest public parking. Hotel in perfect position to explore Cesky Krumlov, just down from the main square and a 2 minute walk to the bridge to cross over to the castle. We first visited Cesky Krumlov 2013 in the summer and fell in love with the place. Hotel Melyn was comfortable very clean and provided a good buffet style continental breakfast with the offer of scrambled or fried eggs. Staff friendly and spoke good English

This is a gem in town. Located just at the river opposite the castle and tower. Really breathtaking view. Great service and breakfast. Note: it is difficult to find and taking a taxi from outside the center is recommended if not by own car. Driving through pedestrian roads is allowed for guests here 👍

I would’ve given this hotel more stars, but the staff was not friendly. The front desk receptionist was incredibly rude to me and my boyfriend during our stay here. We arrived a little before check in time, she told us it would only be 15 minutes, but made us wait closer to 30-45 minutes. When we asked her after 20 minutes if our room was ready she seemed annoyed and put off by us. The rest of the stay she was pretty rude any time that we had questions for her and she would barely say a word to us when we were trying to check out. Other than that, the rooms are good - beds are super comfortable. Have to mention that there was a huge spider web in the corner of our room though. The location is great - right in the middle of everything. Only about a 5 minute walk to the castle, and it is at the end of a quiet street. It is also very close to a rental shop for kayaks and river rafting which was awesome.

The hotel is perfect, good location, fantastic view. I love it a lot, five stars was my initial thought. BUT, Everything goes wrong when their staff just walk in with their key card without knocking on the door. I was in toilet taking shower, and it was 9 am in the morning. Hotel checkout time is 11 am. I asked for a proper apology, and their reception just gave me a chocolate and smiling at me saying there's nothing can be done. A sentence "Please accept my sincere apology" is not that difficult to say, but no. I am not asking for money or any benefit, just an apology from their manager. Sadly, a chocolate is all they can offer. Apology is NOT ACCEPTED. If you don't mind to see the staff intrude into your room before checkout time, this is definitely a five star hotel. Photo is taken right from the hotel room by iPhone. You may ask if I will visit again? NO.

It is a well positioned hotel in the old center of Krumlov near restaurants, shops and sightseeings. My room was nice and comfortable although a bit outdated. Breakfast was good although for the price could be improved. Staff was a bit reserved but friendly.

1 night stay in January 2019, booked through a Top Deck tour. The hotel is in a beautiful old medieval Czech town and walking distance to everything. I have no idea how you get to the hotel by road. We were dropped off on a main road and walked down a steep flight of stairs into a cobble stone courtyard where the hotel can be found. Our room was located on an upper floor with a view of the castle and the river. It was quite large but we found the bed lumpy. Unfortunately, our shower was unusable. It had no shower curtain/door, so water went everywhere, but also the handheld shower head could not detach from the mounting on the wall, which was at waist height. Luckily it was only a one night stay. Upon checking in we were required to hand over our passports and did not have them returned for some hours. It is a mildly concerning practice but apparently common in the Czech Republic. Reception did not speak much English either.
