location: in the middle of the old town, on main square, no parking there, parking for hotel guests a 4' walk away, parked there, then went to hotel, short walk. but you can also proceed directly to hotel, i guess from 3pm onwards, for unloading and loading - details by hotel. check-in, although about 25 taiwanese tourists filled the area at front desk, within minutes. had room in attic, i'd say about 50m², great for romantic couples, quiet, with heating, looking at main square, on the horizon the church and the castle on top of the hill on the opposite riverbank. breakfast european, nice setting. we also had dinner in the hotel's restaurant downstairs - top recommendation, great food, local and international. hotel doesn't have any elevator, stayed on level 3, but they do carry luggage up and down, on request - poor staff - remember, 25 taiwanese tourists with lots of luggage ;-)

Overall not the best place to stay. Rooms very small and they don’t provide much shower gel. Breakfast is ok. Positive thing they are pet friendly and location is great. But staff are not very hospitable and helpful. Maybe because they work only 3 months in the year.

Very helpful staff. Great location. It looks like the interior hasn't been renovated in a while, maybe to preserve an historcal look, so also the windows and doors aren't soundproof and it can get very noisy. The wi-fi doesn't reach some rooms

A nice hotel for one or two nights. Great location in the center of town. Very short walk to everything there is to see. Charming two-story room, with bedroom upstairs, but oddly enough, I had two single beds. Several of my travel companions had single beds in their rooms too. Odd, out of place African art in the hallways. The attached bar/restaurant was staffed by an inattentive woman who declared the place was closed fifteen minutes before closing time. We only wanted drinks, so we gave our business to a place across the square. Be warned - this hotel has NO ELEVATOR/LIFT, so if you have trouble with stairs, this is not the place for you.

The hotel is beautiful and offers a great breakfast. However, we found it rather uncomfortable. First, there was some issue with our room that we didn't fully understand and turned out to be a hassle for us: they kept asking us if we could change rooms, and after we said we didn't want to, they still kept asking until we eventually moved; then we were given a special key to enter the hotel after hours. I still don't understand why we had to change rooms or use a special key. The whole process felt like a hassle that we didn't want to have during a vacation. Second, the rooms themselves were rather uncomfortable. The first room was in an attic and we had to be careful not to bump our heads against the slanted ceiling. The second room was a bit better but still kind of uncomfortable. Overall, the rooms don't have many amenities. No air conditioner either.

A lovely, clean hotel with probably the best breakfast I've had in Czech Republic. We were given one of the biggest doubles to be made into a triple, all in wood and which is featured in their pamphlet. However, it is on a top floor, up various sets of stairs; luckily there was a porter for my suitcase. There is no air conditioning & it has only 2 small windows overlooking restaurants, leaving us the choice to put up with the noise or the summer heat. Beautiful, but this room is probably not to be reserved in summer.

The hotel is placed in roughly 4 connected historical buildings in the very center of the city. It has a very special genius loci, especially for the children. Both our rooms were clean and very well equipped. Mainly the service was absolutely perfect, everyone was very helpful at any situation. Even the breakfests were rich and tasty, we’d only appreciate having it earlier (it begins at 8 AM), so we can start our trips early in the morning. The price of the accommodation was excellent, too. To be honest, I was expecting much lower quality for the offered price when booking the rooms. It was one of my best stays ever, may be 5 stars is not a good enough rating, so I rate the hotel with 5.5 stars this way at least.
