Delicious maroccan food, very kind and helpfull staff. All rooms have extraordinary decor. The owner Oskar is cool Guy, he told us fascinating things about maroccan culture, traditions and he show us city. We spent here great time. Wspaniały pensjonat prowadzony przez polaka, fantastycznego gościa. Świetne miejsce na wypoczynek w Agadirze. Polecamy :)

A wonderful hidden gem on out-skirts of town Host was very pleasant. Room was super clean and breakfast was good too. A little difficult to find since google maps accuracy was not great, but management is attempting to rectify. I recommend!!

My girlfriend and I booked our stay through secret escapes looking for some January sun. After landing at Agadir airport we were greeted with a sign for 'Dar Banana' and travelled for 40 minutes in a private air conditioned taxi to Aourir. The hotel is situated in a beautifully quiet location where you can get a great feel of local Moroccan life, there are no shops in Aourir selling your typical cheap tourist tat, you shop where the locals shop and you can find the local children playing on every corner! After turning down a small track we found the yellow door which opened to an oasis and to our host Oskar! We were lucky enough to have the whole 6 bedroom hotel to ourselves and Oskar kindly gave us the suite for the week, we had the most incredible terrace with a hammock and also our own private cooking facilities. The room was clean, had heater/air con, fridge freezer, lockable drawer and plenty of storage. There is also high speed wifi available everywhere in the hotel apart from the top room of the hotel. Oskar let us settle before talking us through everything we needed to know! For the first night we ate at the hotel, where Rachida (house keeper) cooked us the most amazing chicken tagine with salad and pudding which cost around €15 each. Our package through secret escapes also included a cooking class and Oskar took us to the local market on Wednesday to buy fresh ingredients before talking us through Rachida cooking the meal. My girlfriend is gluten free and he went out of his way to make sure we had gluten free meals available which we really appreciated! We also went on a day trip organised by the hotel to Paradise valley and also to a local Market in a near by village called Immouzer, it cost us around €55 each and was a brilliant day! A driver called Abdel spoke brilliant English and was extremely knowledgeable about the area and talked us through the whole trip! We even stopped off at his favourite restaurant with the best view! We also visited Agadir for the evening which was made easy by Oskar booking us a taxi too and from which takes around 20mins each way. In terms of currency there is a bank with an ATM around a 10 minute walk from the hotel and I would advise using the Dihrams in Aourir not Euros. Finally a special mention has to go to Banańe and Mimi the Dog and Cat that live at the hotel they made staying away from our pets much easier! They were brilliant, extremely friendly and Oskar ensures they stay outside. Already looking at flights to go back!

it was hard to find, but the owner was so nice that once we called him, he went out to find us!!! The place was so charming, and we met new friends there too!! The breakfast was the best I had in morocco!! The dog and the cat were great company at that place too!! I wouldn't think twice about returning there, very close from the beach

I was looking for somewhere non Christmas to stay, relax and recharge my batteries. A week at Dar Banana did exactly that. The welcome was very friendly and Oskar (the manager) and Rachida (house keeper) did so much to ensure I had a relaxing stay. Really enjoyed the Tajine cooking course that was part of the package I had booked but it would have been better if I spoke French as Rachida doesn't. The room was lovely and clean. The bathroom is very small but does the trick for one person. The view from the private balcony is lovely. Location is quiet (despite there being a school very near by), it feels very safe to walk around Aourir as a female on your own and you do not get hassled. It's worthwhile pointing out the Aourir is dry, so the nightlife seems very limited but as I was on my own I didn't go out of my way to explore in the evenings. Oskar kindly got me some wine for the week, or maybe you can pick some up en-route from the airport. It's about half hour walk to Banana beach and then you can continue to a couple of other ones which I preferred. Again, it all feels so safe. I had my transfer and a couple of activities booked by Oskar which all went very well. There is a very friendly cat and dog at the house. If you're after a quiet break, this is your place. I would definitely return!

Once we found it, it was worth it. Owners are friendly and we were welcomed with fresh mint tea. There is a dog and cat in the property - friendly and not a problem for an animal lover like myself! The rooms are gorgeous! Fresh flowers and bottles of water waiting for us. View is beautiful - we saw wild camels. The pool area is so calming! Wish we could have spent longer here! Had a wonderful sleep followed by a delicious breakfast served wherever you want it, and whenever you want it. I'd stay here again if I had the chance.

Perfect place to escape the craziness of the city. Cool quiet and pleasing on the eyes Dar Banana, was a great place to spend a summer weekend. Good food, great hosts, excellent breakfasts and well done rooms, with mountainous back drops. Pool on the premises, or the beach very close by. Cant get any better than that. Thank you for the amazing time Dar Banana...

Spending two nights at Dar Banana was very refreshing ! If you're looking for a quiet, peaceful retreat somewhere close to lovely beaches to recharge your batteries, Dar Banana is your place. We enjoyed great time at the swimming pool and barbecue. The staff is also very welcoming and hospitable. Terraces offer an amazing view on the mountains and the morning grazing camels. Definitely worth staying at and 100% recommended !
