Alagon D'antique Hotel & Spa stands out for its central location and stylish atmosphere, which has enticed some guests to prolong their stays. The attentive service receives acclaim from numerous travelers, although there have been some reports of inconsistency. While the hotel's amenities, including the rooftop bar and pool, are generally praised, there are mixed feelings about the rooms and breakfast variety. The majority of guests appreciate the hotel's cleanliness and its proximity to local attractions, but opinions on value for money and room noise levels vary.

The Alagon Chain has three hotels in the District 1 area and all seem to be connected via two parallel roads. Alagon D'antique, Alagon Saigon, and Alagon City Hotel. The chain is the best if you wish to be in the heart of District 1 where you can walk to Ben Thaah Market and Bui Vien Walking Street. The neighbourhood is full of restaurants, coffee shops, massage parlours, and supermarket/grocery stores. It is by far the most convienient place to live in Ho Chi Minh City. I had taken a Junior Suite at the Alagon D'antique Hotel & Spa. I got three drinks vouchers for the three night stay at the roof top bar; used the swimming pool twice in the morning and it was great; also used the 30-min complimentary foot massage and also had the head-shoulder-neck massage for 30 minutes. The Spa was very neat and clean. And so was my room. Nothing was broken or dirty. In fact, I found the whole hotel quite clean and well maintained. The breakfast was connected across two to three sitting areas across the three hotels and gave, in a way, a variety to sit in different areas. I was happy to get my eggs made in the way I like them along with some fruits and coffee. There was plenty of choice for lunch and dinner but I used to eat them elsewhere. The Junior Suite was reasonably priced when booked a month earlier. The staff were accommodative to most requests. Overall, a wonderful experience, and the place is highly recommended.

I booked the room through expedia and it comes with 30 mins free foot massage , 1 free dinner/ lunch and also 2 voucher for free cocktails on the rooftop. Sounds great, right? However when I went to the rooftop bar to enjoy my second cocktail, the bar lady said the voucher is not valid anymore. She asked me to deal with the reception to solve. Well. just ruined my mood.

Very comfortable. Helpful staff. Great breakfast. Terrible WiFi - but staff stepped in immediately to help me out. Highly recommended, from a seasoned traveller in Asia. I had flown from Chiang Mai for a visa run to maintain my Non Imm 0 multi entry Visa, which necessitates leaving and re-entering the country every 90 days and this was by far the most pleasant way that I have done it, turning a humdrum necessity into a delightful sojourn, being able to eat delicious Pho one evening and fly back for Mohingha with friends the next day. I'll definitely do it again in the future!

We stayed at the hotel in January 2024. While there, my husband was sick. In the middle of the night, Anthony was very helpful getting us an appointment with a doctor for the next day. The next time we saw Anthony, he came over to check on how my husband was doing. He checked on him another time, before we left. We were so thankful for his assistance. It is very worrisome to be sick in a foreign country. We cannot thank Anthony enough for his kindness and caring. He made a great difference in our vacation. Thank you again, Anthony.

If you have a masters in orienteering this is the place for you. If not forget it. It's an ill conceived site of two sites abutting each other with disparate service cores and lifts and multiple entrance halls which defy logic and are not helped by inadequate signage. If you get to the pool without going back down to the lobby then we'll done. The staff are brilliant and service excellent.

Great Hotel, great location, great food, great staff, great rooftop bar and pool, great complimentary foot massages on booking. Great comfy room, beds and pillows so good, great Air conditioning👏🏼 Ticked all the boxes for us for sure! Best of all, NO PLASTIC WATER BOTTLES 🎉 Daily water was in refill glass bottles each day, to our room and at meals also…small but huge steps! Well done Alagon🫶🏻

Booked here as it looked beautiful in the photos, checking in was a big wait and was not acknowledged by staff, the rooms look big in the pictures (we booked the junior suite) was definitely not a suite, extremely small, fridge didn’t work and no bottled water? White stains all over the seats, horrible breakfast that they make you share with other hotels, overall terrible experience and definitely not a 4 star hotel.

Centrally located and excellent staff! The location and breakfast was probably the best part of the hotel. The older building isn’t equipped for the volume of guests they have and you may have to wait 5-10 minutes for the elevator. The accommodations were standard, but carpets aren’t cleaned, wouldn’t recommend this and would opt for another location even if not as centrally located.
