Be warned this hotel has limited air conditioning. It is apparently adequate for Japanese people who have relatively high tolerance for heat. On the other hand it was too hot for me to sleep and we had to scramble over night to find a different hotel so we could check out after 1 night. This cost me a nights slight and 50% higher room costs due to the last minute booking. If hot nights don't bother you, its probably fine. To their credit they refunded our remaining nights without further penalty.

Great location. Easy walk to Matsuyma Castle. Right next door to Okaido shopping gallery with restaurants, convenience stores etc. Chose this hotel because of photos of the Skyspa - on top floor of hotel, indoor & outdoor. Especially great at night sitting in the outdoor spa looking at the city lights. Friendly staff, helpful. Beautiful, modern hotel. Easily accessible by tram from JR Matsuyama heading for Dogo Onsen. And as with many places in Japan where little Englsih is spoken - please be patient and polite

Stayed for only one night. The room is clean and the location of the hotel is perfect. The hotel has a large bath at rooftop, where you can enjoy the view. I didn't have breakfast, but looked so nice. I recommend you stay at this hotel if you look for convenience.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we felt very welcome. The room was comfy and quiet. The Onsen was certainly a feature for us - feel free to pick up all you need from the front desk and enjoy your time in either the enclosed Onsen or the one open to the elements - both on the female side look toward the castle. Breakfast has many options, and the coffee is not too bad! The matcha bread took my fancy! The tram runs along the street outside - a direct route to the Dogo Onsen. The chairlift to the castle is a 5 minute walk away - not to mention the long under cover shopping strip right next door. Perfect location, just enjoy!

Reserved 1 twin room and 1 single room. Both were clean, quiet and safe. Breakfast was very good and there was plenty for us to eat. Japanese and western-style food. Was able to try natto here (i'll give it a pass in the future!). Staff were very friendly. Nice views from the restaurant area. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Liked having the laundry facilities here so we didn't have to bring so many clothes with us. Never had a problem getting access to the washers or dryers. Location is ideal. Right on Ichiban-cho and Okaido. Highly recommend.

During our World Cup trip in Japan, we have stayed in seven hotels so far and this hotel has the distinction of providing the tiniest room of the seven. The very small double bed can only be accommodated by it being hard up against a wall. There is no storage space beyond some hooks for hanging clothes. Not only is it smaller than any single bedroom I’ve stayed in, it’s smaller than any student accommodation I’ve viewed. Can’t recommend it despite the pleasant staff and handy location. Avoid unless you’re really desperate, travel alone and have few belongings !

We stayed here while exploring this beautiful and interesting city. The hotel is centrally located, super clean and the staff speaks English. We especially enjoyed the Onsen. The breakfast was a nice combination of Japanese and Western food. The staff also helped with luggage forwarding, which made the next leg of the trip very easy. Would stay here again.

Without having knowledge about the hotel, I was just taken to by my team members. Their reception is located on the top floor which is 13th, and all rooms are non-smoking. Amenities are placed in the reception area where you can pick up what you need (razor, ear pick, brush, etc). A toothbrush is placed in the hotel room. The room itself was quite clean and the space is good size unlike old Japanese business hotel. Though I didn’t have a time to try; they do have a large bath on the 13th floor which is only allowed for the guests. Very comfortable and new hotel.

I chose Matsuyama of Shikoku area at Japan as a winter family trip. That time, it was high season, so we were divided hotels into two places in Matsuyama according to our trip schedules. "Candeo Hotels Matsuyama Okaido" was a good hotel that we stayed in the latter half of trips. The city view was not bad because the hotel is on the upper floor of the building. Especially, city view of the restaurant and communal bath were awesome. It was very impressive to me that night view of Matsuyama Castle from the hotel, I was really like it. Breakfast is buffet style, it seemed to be the best among the 3~3.5 star hotels of famous sightseeing spot in Japan which I visited. However, it is regrettable that the communal bath was not natural hot spring water.

I stayed on the 12th floor, large room for Japan, clean and nice view. Great breakfast with choice between Japanese and occidental (delicious croissants) included in the rate. Outdoor Onsen on the 13th floor. Helpful frontdesk.
