Hotel covers 10 stories of 30+ story building in a business area in Almaty. Building is kind of outdated and needs maintenance but rooms are great! I stayed at 26th floor suite with nice view (you won’t see the beautiful snow covered mountains because of pollution). Suite is nicely decorated and full of amenities, suite itself is top notch. Front desk overall service was really great especially the ladies at the reception and Royal lounge. Breakfast was average absolutely nothing special about it. After an hour of my checking in, fire alarms went on, speakers in my room were very loud asking me to evacuate immediately and to use the lifts. I was taking a shower and tried to call the hotel and check about it but there was no answer so i assumed it was serious, all wet i put on my pj on too a small bag of necessities and went in a hurry downstairs. Having a bad knee and considering i just went out of serious surgery going down 26 floors on stairs was extremely hard and challenging, i was in real pain and could hardly breathe! I finally made it down and when i asked the concierge what on earth was going on especially that the fire alarms were still on he simply said it’s probably a training!!!! I found out that such practices happen all time but the hotel NEVER bothers to inform the guests!!! I was furious! I went upstairs to talk to someone but the lady was completely clueless and apologized without explaining why the hotel never update its guests about it!!! My knee still sore and i had to continue my trip to Uzbekistan limping because of the awful and irresponsible team managing this property! I had dinner and drinks at the Sky Bar lounge and service was simply awful, i had to go call the waitress every-time we wanted to order she would never bother to look into our faces until she was tipped! The coordination between hotel staff is another disaster and i had to go through awkward inconvenience situations multiple times because of it. Overall must be the worst managed Ritz Carlton worldwide.

I only stopped by the Sky Lounge for a drink, but I was very well looked after by Marzhan and Bota. Both taking their time to explain each cocktail in detail Stopped by the Guest Experience desk and had a lovely chat with Haru who introduced me to local Kazakh sweets. Clearly very passionate and always with a bright smile!

Had a fabulous stay there. One can access the Esentai mall easily if one is looking for shopping luxury brands. The rooms were upto mark n matched our expectation. The staff was friendly , English speaking & more over were cooperative right from checkin to check out. The hotel has got multiple Restaurants which offer good international meals and they can customise it as per requirements. Highly recommended.

The room was noisy and the bathtub was dirty. The smell of the sauna is nauseating. There are no bath towels or plastic slippers in the sauna. You can only wear cotton slippers to walk on the wet floor, which is very dangerous. I think Ritz-Carlton Almaty , only the expensive price matches this brand , Gold and jade on the outside , but inside , t he details are a mess 房间很脏,浴缸也很脏。更衣室的味道令人恶心,不提供毛巾也不提供防滑拖鞋,穿棉拖鞋在湿地板上走路是找死啊? 阿拉木图丽思卡尔顿,只有价格配得上吧 金玉其外败絮其中

I have been a loyal customer of the brand but the whole experience did not live up to my expectations. Here’s why. 1. Check in was supposed to be at 3pm, but my room is only ready at 4pm. The reason of ‘high room occupancy’ is a terrible excuse. They did offer a visit to the spa for a complimentary 15-min massage during the wait, but when we arrived at the wellness center, they said it was full and there are only vacancies at late night. I guess there could have been better communication? 2. Hotel receptionist did say luggage delivery to the room was around 10 mins, yet we waited for 20 mins but our suitcases and backpacks were not sent. We eventually left the room for sightseeing. Such delay is truly a letdown. 3. Training for the staff at sky lounge for sure needs to be reinforced. No one was attentive enough to welcome us when we were at the entrance waiting. And when I got seated and asked for warm water, a waitress just repeated twice ‘Still?’. It’s not that I didn’t want to pay for bottled water, but I was feeling unwell and in need of warm water. I wish the staff from a 5-star hotel could at least give better responses. Not to mention that another waitress put my pizza at the far-end of my table which was extremely unprofessional. 4. Amenities not replenished. Only one set of toiletries for us two guests. And we realised that there were no forks in the room when the evening cake arrived. Overall the standard is below par despite the welcoming doorman on Day 1 and the perfect food at Vista. This team really has some work to do.

I go to Spa at Ritz whenever I am in Almaty. Reception is very professional, massage is superb (Ayuk is amazing masseuse). What frustrates is that the steam room is working half the time and i can not use it. Would be amazing if you can fix that next time.

I´m titanium with Marriott, and that means something at a Ritz but is not as meaningful nor beneficial as it is at any other Marriott brand. Consequently, I rarely book a Ritz but this was the only property in Almaty so we stayed 2 nights. It is a very fancy hotel, really, like really, nice. The elevators are maddening as you go to one floor to go to another. The light system in the room is also smart, and we are not, so there were times we gave up trying to figure out how to turn on a light in a corner and used our phone light if it was a quick search for something. That´s technology gone amok, but is all part of the modern hotel experience. But it really is a nice room and quiet and so clean. They didn´t give us free breakfast so we spent the $40USD per person and it was very good, although that´s a small fortune in Almaty. People, especially the young wives or companions of what I think were rich Russian men, really dress up for breakfast. It looked like Saturday night in Manhattan but it was just breakfast in Almaty. So dress up for breakfast. The staff are all terrific, and we were given two 15 minute free massages at spa because no Titanium upgrade, and the spa is incredible. Almaty is a very pretty city surrounded by hugh snow capped mountains. I didn´t realize how pretty Central Asia would be. If you´re cheap like us, you probably aren´t staying at the Ritz, but if you are, then download Yandex Go app to your phone. It´s a great way to get around central Asia and saves you from being ripped off from taxis. It´s so inexpensive to go around the city or get to the airport.

I stayed at the Ritz-Carlton for 5 nights and enjoyed my stay. The location of the hotel is fairly convenient, with a nice shopping mall just next to it. The service was good, most of the staff was friendly, particularly the Concierge Desk. Tamerlan organized all the tours for me and did a fantastic job - I had great tour guides and drivers. Rooms were decent and spacious enough. Breakfast spread was good, although there was one rude receptionist working at the restaurant. Overall, a very good experience and I would return.

The Ritz-Carlton, Almaty, is a beautiful place to vacation. My husband and I were there to celebrate an extraordinary occasion. We had a splendid experience. Monte Reyes, the director of rooms, is an excellent manager who personally coordinated everything. My husband has an allergy to nuts, and traveling to exotic countries is usually tricky. However, thanks to Monte, our experience was great. We were fine with our food since the customer service and quality standards were very high. The hotel took care of everything related to my husband's allergy, and we had no problems with food. The best thing about the hotel is the people since they are extremely friendly, efficient, and fluent in English, which gives security and facilitates communication. The hotel has a Spa, a very cozy and relaxing pool, 24-hour room service, a buffet breakfast area with a varied menu, and two restaurants. The attention in the hotel is one of the best, and it complies with Asian standards. I recommend a stay in this place if you want to have a few days of rest luxuriously.
