Driving around the island is easy. Capital/main town is on the south where the hotel is and then you can drive your way up to the North through the one main road that exists. As you understand there is an island and there are curves and turns but the roads are good and driving in a normal speed you are fine. Plus the locals are good drivers and you have nothing to be afraid of.
The hotel provides breakfast upon request. Better ask them in advance what they offer and if you feel happy with it go ahead. Think it is 8 euro per person. When I was there I was just going every day to Spathis bakery and was buying pastries and coffee from there.
Best it is to stay on the top floor rooms as they have better view. Haven't seen them but I stayed on the ground floor and even though we had view was not full view.
Hope I helped. Let me know if you need anything else.
Yes, you can book directly, then a flight to Kefalonia, you must travel about an hour to the ferry to Ithaka via car or bus, ferry takes about 20 minutes. From the ferry to Odyssey takes about 15 minutes via taxi or car. Make sure that the ferry schedule for your return trip coincides with your departure, as ferry schedules do change at the end of the season, Aris (owner of Odyssey) can probably assist you with that). You have chosen a great place to stay, with great owners. During your stay you are walking distance to town, but having transportation is needed to go to the beaches. We found a great restaurant in town that was the best authentic food for the best price, service and quality- Trehantiri Restaurant located 1 street back from the waterfront in town center. If you go give greetings to the waiter Elvis (AKA Popeye) super nice guy with arms like Popeye. I hope this was helpful, if you have anymore questions please let me know. Also greetings to Aris and his wife. Have fun!!
Hiya, I would recommend heading straight to the port as it's about a 45 minute taxi over Kefalonia and only a 30 minute ferry across. If you contact the owner directly at the Odyssey he will arrange a taxi to collect you after you cross to bring you to the hotel. They are very accommodating to your needs and wants. Hope this info helps and have an amazing time, you're going to love it. Peace & light Michele
