Attractive wooden building. Roadside, almost. Found it through a friends recommendation. Not certain I would stop here again. Seems to be a place that tourists come to, 2 Chinese tour groups came in while we where there. They are so noisy we had to leave.

Great place for family stays. Nice small scenic territory well equipped for kids. Enclosure with reindeers. Pond with Swans (@summer). Several Parking options at territory. 15Min by car to Vladimir historical Center. Though there are surely better hotel choices in downtown if you want to be within walking distance. The rooms in new Hotel wing are very nice. We also had chance to stay in economy suite at one of Cottages. Surprisingly it was vert decent: roomy and clean (considering 40% cheaper than new wing suites). Downsides were: very hot, stuffy in rooms (no air conditioning available). Somewhat stale smell in bathroom . Restaurant Russian village has very good Russian food. Tavern located in next door building called "Okolica" has somewhat worse cooking, but oddly same pricing.. The only difference being the tavern having slightly wider menu selection for russian cuisine. I recommend dining in restaurant there.

Stayed here as part of a tour group. It was an awful day/night weather wise. Set off the main road in picturesque grounds, all the buildings were wooden houses. I think there were four rooms in our building. Room was basic, clean, beds were very narrow and it was stifling hot. The windows were opened immediately. The lighting in the rooms is not good, too dark. Breakfast was very poor, some cereal, porridge, cheese. The restaurant was very dark as well. However, if you don't wish to eat at the hotel, across the main road in the shopping centre there is a cafe. Wifi was good. You don't need to stay more than one night.

This is a very picturesque property but has a few shortcomings. Rooms are in different cottages & can get warm & stuffy at times. The wi-fi works only in the reception area & not in the rooms. We were given a set dinner as part of our package & it was totally inadequate-two salads, some small bits of chicken & potato cooked in a small pot & doughy pastry for dessert. Breakfast also was not good. Beds are narrow & uncomfortable & walls are thin so one can hear conversations from the next room! Nice for taking photos & ok for an overnight stay.

The room looked really old and not so clean, but the worst thing that it was really hot inside. We didn't want to sleep with open window so it was not comfortable to sleep all night long. Breakfast were poor and couldn't order nothing extra like fried eggs.

We stayed there for 3 nights. The staff is good, the bedrooms are big and nice. Bathroom is basic, and all is clean. The breakfast is correct, but not a lot of choice. However the restaurant is very good and the prices reasonnable. It can be noisy if there is some banquet... Special mention to the Pool/Sauna you can rent fully for yourself. It is very clean and cheap and we had a great moment.

We stayed here in the May of 2014 with our four children. We liked it here. The rooms were spacious, made of whole wood, so the air was quite different. Our room was quiet, clean, forest birds are singing early in the morning, the kids liked to run across a small bridge over the pond with fish and swimming birds. The price was not very high. The breakfast was substantial: porridge, eggs, blinies, salads, ham, cheese and so on. The staff was very friendly. So we recommend to go to a Russian sauna in the evening. The hotel has three stars, but I would give four.

The rooms are small cabins located in a circle around a lake in the center of the property. It's nice, generally quiet, and not too far from the city center -- around 3 miles. Breakfast was great and the staff was welcoming.

We arrived to Vladimir late in the night. Still, having spent 10-15 on booking.com we have chosen to stay here. First thing you should be aware of is that it is quite unobvious to find an entrance during the night since the main gate is closed. However if you go around u'd find both parking space and the entrance. On the other hand night service was brilliant. The room and spare bed was found in a matter of minutes. In conclusion it quite an authentic decent Russian stylized place. .

I have stayed in Russian village in August 2013, for one night only. In general, the hotel is good, but not for sight seeing. It is situated 5 kilometers from Vladimir centre, but there are no pavements by the road (and the traffic is heavy), and the only way to get to the sights is by car, what, in my opinion is not very good. But now - about the hotel itself. It is designed in the form of Russian village (it is clear from the name). There are guest houses and some rooms at the main building (where the reception is). The rooms in the main building (if I am not mistaken, "Economy class" rooms), don't have air conditioner. It is not actually, a big problem, but if you open the balcony to wind the room, you can hear the music from the restaurant, which sometimes is not really good). One more thing about the room - the bathroom door of my room closed very tightly, so I had some problems, opening it. As for the meals: There is a restaurant, where all the big celebrations are held, and a small cafe "Okolitsa" ("a fence round the village"), where the breakfast is served. I don't know about the restaurants, but the cafe is really good. The food is marvelous (especially good are the "Solyanka" and "Okroshka" soups). And the breakfast there is good as well. There is some choice of meals, so you can have what you like. There is also Banya (Russian Sauna) available. But I am afraid, I can say nothing of it, as I did not use it. So, if you are going by car and taking the air conditioned room, the place is good. But be careful: not all the staff speaks English.
