Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

Nestled in a paradise-like setting, the Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa is lauded for its spacious and luxurious rooms with private terraces, though a few guests point out maintenance and style issues. The dedicated staff earns high marks for their friendliness, despite occasional slow service. While the resort's cleanliness and amenities, including a spa and various dining options, are widely celebrated, the value proposition is diminished for some by the steep prices. Guests are enchanted by the private, tranquil atmosphere, yet note that the music sometimes disrupts the serenity.

The positives: • Stunning location and beautiful, extensive and well-kept grounds. Gorgeous beach, even though not ideal for swimming other than along the shore. • Individual villas are large, private and luxurious. • Staff is friendly, polite, genuine and helpful. • Restaurant selection was good (more than adequate for a 5-night stay) and the food was for the most part good to very good (not great), with the breakfast buffet being exceptional. Expensive, however. • The property itself was large enough to offer some space to roam, hike, take long walks on the beach, etc. The negatives: • The costs of the airport transfer (€85) and the ferry (€450/couple) are exorbitant and predatory, given that there are no other options to get to the island. There is no justification whatsoever for the ferry being a separate, additional cost, let alone in this outrageous amount. • Minor quibble/irritation, but there seems to be a charge (most, but perhaps not all, of the time) for bottled water, which is in the form of bottles refilled on-site with filtered water. • Most importantly, Hilton Honors Diamond status was not honored, and a room upgrade was flatly refused in spite of several requests. Management will no doubt respond with the ”subject to availability” excuse, but in fact upgraded rooms were available for booking via the website and app. This resulted in an extremely disappointing overall experience, having travelled 36+ hours at great expense for a 5-star beach vacation, only to be assigned a garden villa with a view of the back of other villas. Diamond members be forewarned, adjust your expectations. Sadly, the negatives (in particular the room location) significantly outweighed the positives. I would not return, and cannot recommend this resort to fellow travelers.

Dear KiloAlphaPapa, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback about your recent stay at our resort. We sincerely appreciate both your compliments and concerns, as they provide invaluable insights into areas where we excel and areas where we can improve. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the location, luxurious villas, friendly staff, and the variety of dining options available. Providing exceptional experiences for our guests is at the heart of what we do, and it's gratifying to know that we succeeded in many aspects during your visit. However, we are deeply sorry to learn about the disappointments you encountered, particularly regarding the costs of airport transfer and ferry services. We understand your frustration and regret any inconvenience this may have caused. Rest assured, we will review our pricing policies to ensure they align more closely with guest expectations. Regarding your experience with our Hilton Honors Diamond status, we sincerely apologize for any confusion or inconvenience caused. We take guest loyalty seriously, and it's disheartening to hear that your upgrade request was not taken care of sufficiently. We will investigate this matter further to ensure that such situations are addressed promptly and appropriately. Once again, we apologize for falling short of your expectations and for any inconvenience caused during your stay. We truly value your feedback and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future, where we can provide you with the exceptional experience you deserve. With warm regards, Chenna Marketing and PR executive

Hotel's Favorite
Me and my family (2 adults and 2 children) had an amazing week in Labriz (3 - 11 May 2023). Besides the fact that Seychelles is a paradise, the hotel emphasized this impression. Everything was great - spacious and perfectly located King Beachfront Villa, delicious breakfasts, authentic restaurants (espesially Gran Kaz), fast room-service, and of course really friendly staff. We would like to say many thanks to Harrison (the most caring housekeeper), Caroline (breakfast fairy), Eli (devoted guide), Elam (reception), Praddish (tennis). We fell in love with this place and would love to return here many times.

The Hilton Labriz is located along one side of Silhouette Island, consisting of the jetty at one end, and ending with the spa at the other end. We needed a buggy to get anywhere as we weren’t fit enough to use the bicycles- there was a bit of hanging about waiting for the buggies - so a big recommendation would be to request a beach front villa nearer the restaurant as then the rest of the facilities are within walking distance. We cannot comment on the swimming as the water was very rough by our room and our friends who did swim further down said there was quite a current - so a bit disappointing- the pool was rather busy with families. The beach at low tide was gorgeous so lovely walks - there was a fun beach bar for drinks and snack lunches. choice of restaurants, Japanese, Chinese and Italian, as well as the buffet - the best in our opinion was the Chinese - the Italian was very disappointing unfortunately. We loved the breakfasts. Although we probably wouldn’t go back, the staff were all delightful and there was probably more to do than we found….the wrong hotel for me, being post knee op…so if you’re fit and energetic I’m sure the Hilton would offer more…..

This resort is truly a paradise cocooned in the pristine blue waters of Seychelles. We stayed there for our honeymoon in December and needless to say this was one of the best hotels we have stayed in! The staff has been extremely helpful and responsive ever since we booked the place and made sure our honeymoon was memorable. The trip to the hotel is through a ferry which takes less than an hour and is an experience in itself. The waterfront pool villas will surely transport to a reality from which it will be hard to come back to your regular life. The villa opens to the beach and you can see some of the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets all while walking on the smooth sand with no signs of habitation for miles and miles. The villas come with bicycles that can be used to tour the resort and come in handy while visiting the 4-5 restaurants they have on site each specializing in a different cuisine. We also booked ourselves a private dinner in our villa and the food was simply delicious. We will most definitely be back to this paradise on earth.

A stunning and imaginative hotel on Silhouette Island, some 40' by ferry from the main island of Mahé, consisting of a long line of comfortable villas parallel with the shore and a very fine beach - swimming off the latter is somewhat constrained by the tide and the proximity of an offshore reef. The staff are lovely - smiley and always willing to help. The cheaper King Garden Villas are comfortable enough [although the stone floors are a little austere] but the garden view is somewhat restricted before you're confronted with the unattractive back aspect of the next row of villas between you and the seafront. However, the reason this review has 3 stars rather than 5 is because of the, in my opinion, outrageous and exorbitant cost of the ferry to get to the island [€225 return or €450/£385 for a couple] and the cost of drinks. As far as the latter is concerned and as an example, the cheapest bottle of red vin ordinaire is some €70/£60 and two bottles of tonic on room service were €16.38/£14 - of course this is a 4-5 star hotel on an island where most things are imported and one is not expecting cheap drinks, but this is serious over-charging I believe. The cost of the ferry is available on the website but is not immediately obvious when making the reservation - I was astounded when I found out the price and frankly very disappointed that Hilton Labriz should charge its guests such a ridiculous sum for the unavoidable necessity of getting to their hotel. All in all, a shame really that the hotel should let itself down on the points I mention - I would certainly think twice about going again or in recommending it to others as a result.

We had a very shaky start at Labriz. I won't list all the issues but we called our travel agent to move the next day if possible. We've been very privileged to stay in some amazing places over our lives and great customer service starts, not just in the culture of the hotel but also the behaviour, values and passions of the team . This includes listening and pivoting when things go wrong and that's exactly what the Labriz management did. No excuses. No defensive manoeuvres . What we got instead was "let's make it right. We weren't on our game". Now that is different. We were skeptical at first I must admit. Amanda (area manager we think ?!) was a real hospitality pro and took the whole thing on. She offered us a beach candlelit dinner and an upgrade on our food . Frankly we didn't need it - how she listened and made us feel appreciated was enough but it all helped to ease the strain and from there the holiday was incredible. Labriz has jaw dropping scenery. The food is incredible, families are looked after but so are couples for intimacy etc. We had a deluxe pool beach villa which was a joy to wake up in and close to one of the most beautiful beaches. Overall we have fab memories of labriz . The initial hiccups were forgotten about and all we think about now are the great people and the service. Just book it ! It's a dream location and makes memories . Big shout out to Fabio at 4 Degrees : Hilton should bottle his positivity and passion . A gem of a guy ! Emily and Kristin looked after us daily to keep checking in that we were fine. Amazing ladies . The entire team at the Kids club were fantastic. Overall huge thank you to the management and the entire team - you made it special .

Very appreciative of the warmth and care extended by all staff to myself and my family. There are too many names and faces to mention and we will always remember you guys for the genuine concern shown. The resort is a beautiful paradise. The food was amazing even for my fussy vegetarian gut. I was spoilt for choice. My little one enjoyed incredible freedom and didn't get to do everything because we ran out of time. The seas and shore and the cleanest I have ever seen and the waves crashing or lightly moving, can be heard throughout the resort. We have missed going to sleep and waking up to the sounds of the sea and wild life. Thank you somuch for allowing us an unforgettable experience. May the staff at the resort be blessed with equal kindness, care and spoils that they so effortlessly give to all guests.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hilton Labriz, from the very beginning when the team sent a message to align on my arrival, it was nice to get an upgrade to the Ocean Front room. The structure is very nice and I could see when I did my research online, but what impressed me was the team. Simao from the kids area. The Indonesian lady in the restaurant. Tania, the FNB manager and her team who were always taking care of the small details. Ana who received us and took us to our room. The maintenance guy from India who was taking care of our aircon, when we had a small issue. The Sri Lankan lifeguard who was very nice to us on the beach nearby. These are really committed people and they made our stay very pleasant and we couldn’t see the time passing. The food was great and we really enjoyed Café Dauban. I know that restaurants have a very good income with beverages, but at least the water we should have it free, I didn’t like paying Usd 6 for a bottle of water. I also enjoyed a lot the NY festive dinner, but Eur 600 for the 4 of us was the price of an extra night and we already had an above average price for this time of the year.

We had the most wonderful stay at Labriz, the team couldn’t have been more welcoming or accommodating, with everything from warm, welcoming service, organising a private rum tasting and even a special anniversary celebration. The new f&b manager Tania and also head trainer Kaitryn, couldn’t have been more supportive with the set up of the wine training I was hosting and both went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. I will definitely come back for leisure next time to experience the first class hospitality here in such an exquisite setting.
