The Glidden House was located in a nice section of Cleveland that was close to all attractions by car. It was close to Little Italy, where we ate the first night. There were also several restaurants in walking distance. We stayed in a queen room that was very nice. It had all the expected amenities and a comfortable bed. The breakfast was more than we had expected and served in the library and sunroom. There were both hot and cold choices: baked eggs, sausage, bacon, yogurt, fruit, cereal, juice, etc. We certainly did not walk away hungry. The one problem we did encounter was that a wedding was being held at the hotel and some of the wedding guests took parking spaces reserved for hotel guests. Other than that, there were no problems and our stay was quiet, comfortable, and

I was so excited to be staying at a place that is registered as a historic place . From the outside , I expected the interior to be filled with antiques . While the lobby is pretty , I had a hard time distinguishing it from a Marriott once I was inside . Yes , it is lovely and so close to Case Western Reserve ,where my son is a student ,but the inside is a lot more modern and I was disappointed by the contemporary feeling once inside . The room was very comfy and clean . Breakfast was again a disappointment , as a lot of the food was gone and not replenished . There was an empty vat of oatmeal , and the berries and pastries were gone . I asked if there were more , and was told there was not . It was only 8:40 and breakfast was served until 9 . I feel if breakfast is served

We stayed at the Glidden House during a road trip to IL. We only had one night there, but we are definitely going to stay there when we go back to explore more of the city. It's on the National Register of Historic Places, which is the reason I wanted to stay there. It was one of the most comfortable, homey, lovely rooms I've ever stayed in in the States. The staff was wonderful and very friendly and helpful. The location is very good for getting around the city. There was parking on the property. The breakfast was terrific--homemade slow cooked oatmeal, fresh fruit, among other things. Can't wait to go back.

My group had the good fortune to spend some time at the Glidden House while we took part in a conference July31st to August 4th. What a remarkable place! I worked very closely with Amanda Kane starting a year in advance of our event. I cannot give Amanda enough accolades; she is wonderful. She helped me with the registration process, secured an excellent rate for our stay, guided me through the myriad of local restaurants for an off-site meal, even recommended an amazing caterer for our on-site event. She left no question unanswered and replied to my emails promptly with the highest professionalism but with the familiarity of a good friend. The Glidden House, from its beautifully appointed rooms, the amazing estate and the excellent location was a pleasure to stay

At the last minute, we searched for a hotel in Cleveland. We found the Glidden House Inn, called and jumped on an airplane to Cleveland. The reservations service was gracious, efficient and gave clear and precise directions from the airport to the Inn. We held our breath, fearing the worst. But as we entered the University Circle area of Cleveland, our mouths were agape; it is stunningly beautiful. I've never heard that about Cleveland. As we turned down Ford Drive, we smiled as a beautiful mansion came into view: the Glidden House Inn. We parked in front and went through the grand front door. On the right, we were met with a painting of the former owner of the home and founder of Glidden Paints and varnishes. Under his serious gaze was a delightful receptionist who had

We typically stay at a lot of B&B's, but this time we decided to stay at a hotel. Glidden House was excellent. Great part of town, within walking distance to the Cleveland Botanical Garden and Little Italy. Room was modern and nice. Breakfast bar was above average, with eggs and hot breakfast items. Would definitely stay there again on our next trip to Cleveland.

My family has stayed at Glidden House so many times over the past few years that we lost count. When our daughter (who was in college in Cleveland) moved into an off-campus apartment, my biggest regret was that we would no longer be staying at Glidden House. The inn is very conveniently located in the middle of the University Circle district. They have off-street parking (just about exactly enough for a full house.) The rooms are comfortable and updated (retaining the decorative charm of the older parts of the Inn.) One quirky detail about the rooms is that they all feature a large torch-style lamp that seems not to have any mechanism for turning off. On our first stay, exhausted after a long trip, we spent half an hour trying to turn the lamp off and finally called the front

Our company held its annual holiday party at venue in University Circle, and several of us spent the night at Glidden House. The rooms are spacious and modern, and the complimentary breakfast the next morning was really good. The small bar is quaint and the service was very friendly.

The location is great if you want to stay near the university, and check out the sights around there like the arboretum and the art museum. Our room was nice but slightly dated. There was however a very large flat screen on the wall. The rooms were pretty clean, but not spotless. The breakfast was quite substantial, however they could use one more person helping out(A few people had to wait for 5 minutes while they cleaned some plates) The staff seemed quite friendly. One annoyance was that only one elevator seemed to work which led us to take the stairs so we wouldn't have to wait. Overall I would stay here again because of the location and some of the staff. However if I found a great deal at another hotel I would take it.

Grand old building - loved the architectural detail. Desk was exceptionally helpful in finding a suite for us - hotel was all but full. Location is pretty good - we really enjoyed seeing Cleveland Art Museum and would highly recommend it. Service was good. Perhaps it was just us but atmosphere seemed a bit "stuffy". Most of guests we encountered were older, did not see other families with kids. Obviously this is not hotels fault - just something to keep in mind if you have young kids. Feel was more like hotel for wedding receptions and events. Rooms have been renovated but you can still tell building is old. Floors had major sagging in spots, carpet in our suite was very worn. Could hear person next store as if they were in the room with us. The modern bowl on table
