We stayed 2 nights in this hotel. It is well located, you have to walk 10 mn to the Kremlin or the Museum of wooden architecture, 15 mn to Gostinyi Dvor, and 40 mn to the furthest convents. We rented bicycles from the hotel but not for long as they were of poor quality. Our room was comfortable. Sound insulation is poor as we could hear the voices of our neighbors. A pity there are some steps to the reception desk, not easy with heavy suitcases. Breakfast buffet we rate only average. We appreciated the banya (same management as hotel, 100m away): for 4.900 rubles for 2 persons, a private traditional Russian massage . A real treat after walking the whole day around the churches.

This hotel is small but quite comfortable and has thought about the minutest detail for a kid. Like having toys, puzzle and even paper and stationery in the room.they have a family sauna family facility inbuilt. Worth every penny.

I arrived earlier than check in time at 12 but was able to get my room earlier with no issues. The reception Nadia spoke decent English. I settled in and one of the cats came to hangout in my room, he ended up sleeping in my room so I had to leave my door unlocked. Luckily it seemed there were no other visitors at the time because I stayed on the weekday. The location was a little bit of a walk to the city center, about 10 to 15 minutes which I didn't mind. However, getting to the guesthouse seemed difficult via the bus from Vladimir especially with luggage so I opted for a taxi. It cost 600 rubles from Vladimir to the hotel (i used the "Gett" app, similar to uber). However on the way back to Vladimir I was quoted 1000 rubles by the hotel. Not sure if they get a cut from that or if it's just more difficult to find taxis in suzdal. The breakfast was average, not a huge selection but the crepes were good as well as the other home-cooked apple cheese cake? The only complaint I have is the tiny washroom and strange capsule-like shower, otherwise it was a very pleasant stay!

5min walking distance from the Kremlin, very nice hotel built in wood as an isba. The rooms are big and very clean, the Russian breakfast is excellent. The staff is very nice and helpful. We could have spent more time here.

Firstly I have to admit that this hotel seems quaint and charming from photos. Indeed the hotel has a lovely interior, but its amenities were a little disappointing. Firstly the shower was really small but one can bear with that. The restaurant was not open in winter, although while booking I was informed that there was an on site restaurant. The breakfast was poor. The pancakes on Sapsan seemed to taste better. Furthermore choices were severly limited to porridge, pancakes, a type of bread, a type of cakes, and some cold cuts (only ham and cheese). No warm dishes, fruits, salads of any sort was present. By the second day one gets tired of the breakfast selection. On the brighter side the reception desk was helpful, albeit with limited command of English (you have to Google Translate) and the Kremlin is near. Roads outside seem deserted in the middle of nowhere though.

We loved our stay in this unique hotel/B&B. From our first greeting from Nadia (and the cats) it was a delight. It's a log building with a charming sitting area, comfy beds, clean baths and very friendly staff. Nadia also recommended Ulij Restaurant, one of the top 2-3 of our month long holiday. Breakfast was adequate and fresh but nothing special. The shower was a capsule like affair with a BIG step up, not easy if you have mobility issues. Great value for money. A little out of the center but it's a small town. Also if you don't want to walk, taxis are just 150 rubles anywhere in town.

We were on our way from Moscow-Diveevo-Murom road trip and decided that our next stop should be Suzdal. Having called a couple of hotels in central location of Suzdal, we picked Svetly Terem, and arrived late at night pretty exhausted. What can I say? As soon as we entered this cozy, traditional, wooden house, we almost immeadiately felt 2 things: 1) what a great relief - it seems like we made great choice and 2) this should be fun because the interior is almost entirely made of wood and everything is so cozy and thoughtfully made that we instantly caught an unsual, but very warm feeling that we are NOT HOTEL GUESTS, we are JUST GUESTS of a very hospitable and pleasant master. This impression was even more strengthened, when we encountered a pair of adorable Main Coons escorting us to our room and scrupulously investigating our suitcase and willing to stay with the newcomers))) So we unpacked our staff and decided to try traditional Russian Banya, which is much more fragrant and humid than typical Finnish sauna. Brooms and herbal tea were included - and I have to tell you what a pleasure it was to steam thoroughly and then to plunge yourself in a barrel full of ice cold water! As for the room, we found it spacious and super cozy with decent quality amenities in the bathroom and very comfortable king size bed.The air was super fresh, and we woke up 100% energised with the first screams of the local roosters)) The breakfast was beyond expectations. I simply did not expect such a high level of HOME MADE absolutely delicious traditional Russian food! Pancakes, muslis, wide selection of porridges and dairy products, jams, honey, cheese and ham platter, tea and coffee. We are definetely coming back again to the beautiful city of Suzdal and there is no doubt that we will stay again at this cute and cozy place. Highly recommend!

Suzdal is a gorgeous Golden ring town, and whilst Svetly Terem is a little out of the town centre, it provided a cozy overnight stay. Svetly Terem is a converted traditionally log house and from our stay seem to be very popular with Russian families. The hotel is less than 10 minutes from the Kremlin and the Wooden Architecture Museum, but is quite far from other attractions and the city centre. The check-in was efficient and the staff spoke decent English. However, there seem to be a slight booking mix-up as we are given a double room, instead of a twin. This was quickly alleviated though when the staff converted it for us in the afternoon. Our room itself was spacious, non pretending and authentic. It was unique with its wooden decorations, and the bathroom was modern with a strong shower. The breakfast was served a little later than normal at 9, but it was prepared a little earlier during our visit. Whilst the staff are overall helpful especially with arranging transport, they do not interact with us during our stay (probably more comfortable with their Russian guests). Overall, Svelty Terem is an unique Russian experience, and a great choice in Suzdal.

We spent two nights in this charming Russian hotels, petting the extraordinary cats of the house and enjoying our wooden rooms and confortable beds. The place is charming, simple, authentic, with a nice Sauna and Jacuzi. It is well situated to explore Suzdal. Our only disappointment was the breakfast, a little uninspiring and served from 9 am to 11 am where we usually like having an early breakfast to make the most of our day.

We stayed for 2 nights in a family deluxe room. The hotel is great, a traditional log house, big and comfortable, only 5 mins walk from Kremlin and Museum of Wooden Architecture, near the river and perfect for watching the sunset from the bridge. Breakfasts are good in Swedish buffet style, we had to leave early on the last day and the staff got breakfast ready just for us. The staff are very friendly and helpful, speak good English. Nadezhda especially went out of the way to help us, when our taxi driver cancelled at the last minute she even drove us from Suzdal to Vladimir to see the sights in nearby Bogolubovo and catch our train back to Moscow. And the two Main Coon cats make the stay extra special!
