I was on the road and needed a hotel, checked in Teruel and their place caught my attention. I called and could not get through. Within minutes I had a call back and lucky to find that a room was available. The lady at the front desk only asked my name and told me that she will keep the room. The place is walking distance to the city center. Free Parking was easy to find on the street. The place was immaculate, very comfortable and has a great decor. Not to mention the value. Definitely worth staying if you don’t want a room with a view.

We stayed overnight at this hotel during our journey from Bilbao to Los Montesinos. The parking at the hotel is non existent except for a 10 minute period to unload our vehicle. Parking in local streets is difficult. We were unable to use the bar until 9pm - although drinks were brought to our room. The food served in the restaurant at 9pm was adequate and reasonably priced. English was just about spoken by the staff who were very attentive and polite. Our room was very clean and the hotel as a whole was very modern and pleasant Breakfast was 'continental.'

We stayed two night in the CLA Hotel in Teruel. Everything in the Hotel looks quite new, as it is 3 years old. When we arrived early morning we just wanted to drop our lagguage. The employee at the resception speaks only little english, but we managed it. In the afternoon we came back to the Hotel - found a free parking place for the car in the streets around the Hotel. Checking in and went to the room. The room itself is big enough to stay some days. Especially the bathroom was big with a bath tube, toilet and wash basin. The room was equipped with a double bed, a sofa, a small TV (we didn't use) and a cupboard. There is no safe availble neighter a fridge. On our first day we had a reservation for dinner in CLA Hotel. The dinner starts earliest at 9pm - normal time for spanish people - for germans quite late. Rating please find at "CLA Restaurant". For breakfast we received some bread with typical spanish tomato sauce, ham, cheese and chorizo. Different kinds of Coffee and orange juice. My rating of 4 out of 5 points because the missing fridge and safe. Everything else is really good, even the missing communication skills are not problem or can be solved easily.

Response from CLATERUEL, Reception at Cla Hotel Boutique
Responded Feb 7, 2017
Thank you very much for your comments, Karsten2310. As you know, we are a small, two-star hotel with a limit on what we can provide, and that is the reason why we have neither a safe box nor a fridge in the rooms. If someone at some point requires either of these two things we always offer an alternative solution at reception. In such a way we do not waste the valuable resources of the establishment and are able to offer better rates, not to mention not contributing unnecessarily to the greenhouse effect. About the lack of language skills we take note of your comments. We are always willing to improve. Kind regards, Los del Clá

We had a great stay in this little hotel. The reception couldn't have been more helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and bed very comfortable. The food in the evening was excellent. We will remember the patatas bravas for a very long time! No complaints at all. Thank you.

Picked for the price this was a good choice boutique style hotel. Although no parking we parked easily on the road just around the corner and it was a short walk into the centre. We had hoped to eat in the hotel that night but the restaurant which has great reviews was closed. Breakfast available to order - not buffet style which we prefer so we passed on that. But the welcome was very warm with the staff speaking only a little english (no problem for us as we speak spanish). She explained the local area and gave us some great tips for walking around the city and also for our trip to Albarracin the next day. Our room was fine, centrally controlled air con, shower but no baths. Our shower cubical leaked quite a bit but not enough to complain - we just informed them in the morning. The beds were extremely comfortable.... with feather toppers. The only down side for me was the air fresheners in the hall ways were on uber smelly.... and rather over powering. No view as such from windows, just brick wall... but not an issue for us. Very strong free wifi which was a must on our wants for a hotel. I'd not hesitate in going back there again.

What a unique and "hip" boutique hotel! We only stayed in Teruel one night, but this place was a great find. Clean. Nicely appointed. Very friendly staff, one who could speak English! They have a restaurant attached to the property that looked very popular. Only drawback for us was no direct parking options if you had a car, but side-street parking was fairly accessible and we didn't have any issues.

We visited Teruel with one night to spend, the CLa was a bright and clean spot just outside the old city. The location was excellent, easy walking distance to the Torico and parking was not a problem. We arrived too late for the midday meal so we did not sample what looked to be an excellent menu. I highly recommend this small hotel.

Quite hard to find but GPS got us there. Parking not far away in the street. Tiny but trendy and practical. Very small rooms .. we wondered where we could put our largish case ! However .. a good wardrobe and excellent bathroom. Nice to have an extra cushion on the bed and good reading light. Clean and comfortable and excellent value. Really would like to have tried the highly recommended restaurant but only here for one night so had to go out on the town !

CLa is not what you expect. It doesn't particularly look like a hotel from the outside, as it is tucked away down a narrow street (though it is easy enough to find). Inside, it doesn't particularly look like a hotel either. There is no lounge, just a reception desk and a short flight of steps leading to a white corrior off which the rooms come. But the rooms, all individual and theatre-themed, boutique-style, are very nice, despite the lack of a view. CLa is not in the centre of Teruel, but at a short walk from the centre it is suitable for all those who are mobile. In fact, this may well be an advantage, as parking can be found relatively easily in the nearby streets, whereas staying in any other hotel (ones in the centre) means you will have to pay. And, to be brutally honest, you may not be there so long anyway, as Teruel does not have that much of interest bar its Mudejar churches. As such, CLa makes a very sensible choice for a one- or two-night stay in the town. It is very good for what it is - a boutique place to stay while enjoying a trip. Note however that the restaurant is (at time of writing) closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. A couple of more things. The reception staff and owner could not be nicer, and for those who value cleanliness above all else, I can honestly say I have never been in a cleaner, more pristine hotel, where the staff clearly care about everything being just right. Spotless.

I stayed at CLa Hotel on half board for a week in May as I wanted to explore the local area by bicycle. I just loved the hotel, my room was clean and quiet and the food was wonderful. The staff were what made the hotel, they were all so helpful and friendly, it was like staying at a home rather than a hotel. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
