The garden is beautiful. Delicious vegetarian and vegan food and a very kind owner who has helped us both many times. They also do yoga and meditation and have a place to stay the night near the beach. We highly recommend the home made kombucha!!

The food was WAAAY overpriced and bland. It had no taste and was missing spices, even salt. We ordered 3 chocolate cakes and ice cream, but the waitress came back saying there were only 2 cakes left. We said it was okay, and asked her to cut it into 3 slices instead. She came back again, saying there was now only one slice left. There were no other people in the restaurant. It was terrible and the service was awful. DO NOT COME HERE

Reaaaally small portions. When my children aged 4, 8 and 12 were remained hungry after a main dish and a dessert no more words needed. That never happened before anywhere else. Way overpriced. We feel totally scammed.

When we drove past and saw this place we were so excited to check it out. We saw a new moon ceremony which was right up up our alley. We booked with a lovely staff member who we thought was running it. We returned the next day for lunch as we had to tell the place we couldn’t make the time, the owner was abrupt, rude and not happy. My jaw was dropped when she walked away from us. We did not want our money back, we just wanted to exchange for something else. She allowed us to come to a yoga class the next day. We did not end up eating there as when we asked for two potato pies, one with no egg - which the menu says is possible she rudely said “no I can’t do that”, it was a blessing in disguise as we almost fell over when we had to pay $8.50 for two small mango juices, the 15% tax bumps up already exxy prices. The yoga is $15 which is a price we would pay in Australia. We also couldn’t make the yoga the next day but we didn’t receive a response to our email. I had such an awful feeling about this place and person and came on here to find we’re not alone. 2.8 stars is generous. This place is not in any way spiritual in nature or presence. As someone else said in here the owner should shut the doors as she does not like people. She was also rude to her staff. There are so many beautiful places and people in Amed. And a plethora of incredible fresh organic food for much less! I’m sorry to say you should not invest your time or money in this pseudo-spiritual business.…

Driving past and saw the signs. Thought kids would enjoy shell museum but to call it a museum is an insult to actual museums. A small collection of cracked, broken, small, uninteresting shells protected by glass smeared in dirt/mud. Even at a tenth of the price it would still feel like a scam/rip off. Do yourself a favor and skip this stop... just head to beach and in 15mins you will have shells that surpass this museum.

Our family went looking for a vegan/vegetarian lunch and happened upon Iona. Walking through the gate and descending the stairs we found ourselves entering into a very peaceful space. We found the menus, seated ourselves at a table and discussed what delight we each were drawn to. Some time passed before the arrival of a lovely staff member and we got our order placed. The drinks and food were lovingly and freshly prepared which although took time left us feeling enriched and overwhelmingly satisfied. During our stay in Amed we ate at Iona on 3 ocassions and felt each time was a treat. Much gratitude to Rahel and her staff.

After our lunch we decided to check tripadvisor for this place. Still nothing has changed to the bad reviews we could read then. Especially that the place is supposed to be a spiritual place. The owner is so cold and unwelcoming. Why not just close the whole place and live there without being disturbed by stupid tourists? Food was nice anyway. But you cannot enjoy. I also liked the pseudoscientific bookled about why you should live vegeterian. "As american scientists found out..."

This is a lovely oasis in the middle of a fairly plain place. They really have worked hard with this to get this looking good and it does. You feel, as you have your tea, calm and refreshed. Its a vegan (I think) and vegetarian place, with so many herbal, remedy tea's you could choose, All of them, interesting blends, some for medicinal purposes, some not. That aside, we had tea and a bite to eat, not the cheapest but certainly the most interesting. The lovely girl who served us was chatty and there when you needed here. very good indeed.

We did morning yoga at 9am with the german lady host by the seaside hunt and it's absolutely smoothing and relaxing. We enjoyed it very much. She also give us some mind and body tips on what we need to be mindful of. We also took away their sandwiches which is super delicious. We will definitely visit again for yoga and a vegetarian meal in the lovely garden restaurant.

Just cruising around Amed area and always passing by "Shell Museum/Aiona Garden" so today we thought to stop by and check out this place and have some healthy food. The setting of the place is pretty and quiet. After standing around at the restaurant for a while, no staff was seen. Finally saw a local staff and we said hello and no response from her. Then after another few more minutes, an European woman came to us looking unfriendly and bothered. We asked if it's open for lunch and she said yes but only 1 dish is available which is Nazi Campur, a local dish. We asked about the menu shown outside of the property, which says they offer like a full menu or something. So I asked what happened to the menu shown outside, she told us that it's only for dinner. The door says that they only open from 9am to 4pm. No other explanation from the woman and we just walked out. Worse lunch experience since we have been here in Amed.…
