An harmonious synthesis of traditional balinese craftsmanship and the more eclectic "Bali modern" style. Beautiful villas surrounded by lush gardens, frequented by a rich variety of birdlife and butterflies.A boutique style resort nestled on the hillside above a fishing village with stunning mountain and ocean views to Lombok, yet just steps away from the beach - a real retreat. A real retreat, yet only an hour or so from cultural and historical sites of interest as well as incredible shopping destinations, making Baliku the ideal base for your tropical sojourn. Luxurious villas with breathtaking views - privacy assured.

This was our third visit to Baliku and it just let us down on this trip. Day one, they forgot to pick us up at our hotel in Tuban after we had pre-booked our transfer. Several telephone calls and WhatsApp messages with us threatening to cancel our stay finally had a driver turn up. Got there very late in the day to a room right up top, as usual a very nice room. After dinner and getting to our room we were met with staff sitting outside their room talking and smoking, they must have been staying in the room near us. Day two started seeing power issues at the resort, no power to the rooms many times during the day and into the night. Subsequently trying to sleep with door open, no windows in the room, so no cross breeze. Eventually falling sleep even tho it was incredibly hot and muggy, only to be woken by resort staff outside our room talking in full voice all arguing about what the electric problem was, some shouting from me convinced them to be quiet. Day three still power issues. We cut our 5 nights down to two nights and left, will I come back to Amed and Baliku, no. Staff were accommodating, food was good but that end of Amed is not the same after Covid, lots of business’s have not re-opened.

My wife and I spent five idyllic days at the beautiful Baliku resort in Amed. The room was large, cool and spotless. It had a lovely bathroom with great shower and toiletries supplied. It also had a seperate room with kitchen sink, fridge, safe and plenty of storage for clothes, suitcases etc. The balcony was enormous with two day beds to lounge on reading or just to look out over the uninterrupted view of the Bali sea to the island of Lombok in the distance. Every morning we would watch the hundreds of brightly coloured fishing boats returning with their catch. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, organising diving trips, a scooter and car trips for us. The included breakfast was filling and delicious. We also ate dinner here several times. The food was fresh and very tasty. Beautiful pool and gardens. Very fast and reliable wifi. Best of all you can just walk across the road, dive into the sea and snorkel around the Japanese shipwreck, looking at the amazing coral and colourful fish. Stay here. You will love it.

My family stayed at the Baliku Dive Resort for a few days as a stopover on our way to visit family in Australia. It's a bit of a drive away from the airport, but worth the extra driving. Amed is a stunning place and the Baliku was a fantastic place to stay and explore. The restaurant was great (my son became obsessed with the beef rendang, and my daughter is still jonesing for the mango lassis) - there are also some great warungs nearby for lovely local food. The location is brilliant - seconds away from the Japanese shipwreck which offers some of the best snorkeling in Bali, and with stunning views over Lombok, which was particularly great, as I was up at dawn with jetlag, and watching the sunrise was something I'll never forget. The rooms were large and comfortable, the infinity pool looking over the sea is gorgeous too, and the staff were delightful. A massive recommendation for a very affordable and still luxurious and gorgeous place. A great place to stay for a scuba diving tester (which we did), snorkelling on the coral, or for more established divers. Definitely recommend breaking up the journey back to the airport (Tirta Ganga is a great stop-off on the way) and making sure you allow plenty of time for the airport run to allow for the traffic.

I chose this hotel because I wanted a large room with a great view, and the room I got matched my expectations. I work as a writer and the room was also very private with no disturbances. Staff was excellent and very helpful, and the hotel also provides good food. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this place.

We were a group of 5, two couples and our twenty five year old daughter. This hotel is exceptional the rooms are romantic with Wonderful views and airy open spaces. Large bedrooms with queen size beds, and a beautiful outside space with divine day beds. Bathrooms you could live in and all spotless. The restaurant food is fresh exciting and delicious. We found the staff both warm and efficient most of them speak very good English. I strongly recommend Baliku, a place that lingers in you heart. I should also mention the beautiful swimming pool, and Baliku's closeness to fabulous coral, world class diving and snorkeling!

I had been living in Amed just after COVID when I stumbled on this beautiful Italian palazzo style hotel. It was still shuttered from the pandemic but you could see the potential of this place to be classically exquisite. Three months later I was going for a joyride down the road and rediscovered this gem… this time it was sparkling. If you can find a better menu in the area please let me know. Understated Balinese/Italian perfection. Sampurna ❤️ Be Rad

We spend almost one week to Baliku. The relation with Wayan, Nyoman et Ketut was like in a family. The villa is very calm and resting place, the menu to the restaurant very tasty. Nice snorkeling and diving spot just in the front of the hotel. And each morning, a breathtaking scenary with the fishermen coming bach home an early morning fishing: hundreds of coloured vailed boats at sunrise. Sure you will enjoy! And doing so, you will help the local economy to recover from 2 hard closing years.

My stay here is a bit disappointed. Before I headed to Amed for my diving course, I did a lot of online research about which diving school is better suitable for me. I came there for diving and I have very specific needs --- I read a lot of review about each dive master from each school and in the end I decided to go to Baliku as I read 1) extremely positive review for its dive school; 2) quiet location with great view. I then sent emails to Baliku and paid deposit for my diving/accommodation. Until when I checked in -- I was told I'm the first guest in two years and the dive school has been temporarily closed since covid. They then sent me to another dive school. Regardless it's a good choice or not, they need to tell me in advance -- I made the decision to come to this property based on the reviews about your dive master. As I was also the only guest, most food was not available on the menu. For the first days, I can only order chicken; on the third day, they got fresh fish; no desert whatsoever. This hotel is bit far from the town center (20mins drive by car). So if you can't stay on the site for diving or food, you have to travel outside which is very inconvenient. They don't provide free drop off /pick up neither and I find their transport price quite expensive. They charged me 150k IDR for return trip to the town center (6km one way) and 100k IDR for return trip to Lipah Beach (3km one way). In comparison, my Ubud hotel charged me 300k for airport drop off (35km). I understand some hotels will mark up the price compared with external providers, but I find it's such a stretch for this hotel to mark up anything (off center location, closed diving school, a restaurant pretty much for breakfast only). And my diving was also a bit disappointed. My right ear didn't feel well from poor equalization after Day 1 dive. I rested on Day 2. And from Day 3, I started to develop cold symptoms. So I had to abort my diving course for good. I previously tried some fun dives but this time I tried to get PADI certificate. My instructor is a very nice lady but I found she approached my challenges from her perspectives -- if something was challenging for her, then she will take good care of me on that front; for things not bothering her, she will think I can deal with it like a piece of a cake. But I agree it's very subjective -- so I researched heavily online before I came. By reading reviews from previous diving students, I can guess if he/she is the right instructor for me. The service from the hotel staff was great. They tried their best. But end of the day there is only much to be done from "service" perspective. I hope Baliku can do better and recover soon from this covid setback.

This was our second visit to Baliku and for very good reason. The rooms are comfortable, great value for money and the hotel is just a stones through away from the famous Japanese ship wreck. The pool area is very Balinese and absolutely perfect for an evening drink whilst watching the sun set between mountains and the idiliic Bali sea. I recommend this hotel if you want to experience a true Balinese escape.
