As it was my wife's birthday we got an instant poolside room upgrade which was great.Literally 10 meters to the pool. Great food in the restaurant, generous serves, breakfast was plentiful.Fantastic snorkeling right off the beach, the Japanese wreck is only about 70 meters away. Fabulous staff, they all gave us hugs when we left. This resort is out of Amed a bit, but that's the attraction. Fully recommend and can't wait to return.

This a wonderful, small, family run resort, at a great location, with friendly staff, engaging host, great food and it’s quiet and relaxing. It is located on a stony beach but once you are in the water, it is a wonderland of coral and fish. The Japanese wreck is 100 m away. The pool is clean and refreshing.

Nalini Resort is a charming resort in Amed. We‘ve been here for 6 days and I dont want to miss it. It has gorgeous rooms. All with a stunning view. We got a ocean view room, so we were able to see the sunrise every morning. The room was always very clean and had good furniture. The staff is well trained and super friendly. The organize everything you are dreaming off. Speaking of: I was telling the staff, that I always wanted to try Arak. In the next evening she offered me two glasses of arak. Also it is very close to the japanese shipwreck. Just grap your snorkelgear and you can see corals and fishes in best conditions. We can highly recommend Nalini Resort. If we come back to Amed - sure we go to Nalini❤️

I cannot tell you how fantastic the staff were & the hotel restaurant food was SO delicious! We ate all but 3 of our meals there over a 5 day stay. Ari and the team couldn't have been more helpful (we did lots of different activities and outings) and the view from our room was absolutely gorgeous. The cocktails were delicious too!

We ate at Nalini Resort twice and the food was excellent. We also met the owner who was gracious enough to invite us into his home and show us around the location. What I did not enjoy what witnessing the rather cruel treatment of their cows. They are tied up in such a manner that they are not be able to move at all. As animal lovers, my partner and I found this exceptionally difficult to watch. We did ask the owner about this and did not receive an explanation for this type of mistreatment. We understand that cows in Bali are generally tied up on very short ropes and believe this is an outdated practice that needs to be reconsidered. With more and more international visitors coming, we don’t believe this serves the reputation of any hotel and ask the owner of Nalini Resort to reconsider how they keep their animals. We understand this is your livelihood, but you could build them a basic pen rather them restricting all their movement. As per our conversation, we are still happy to offer financial assistance to build a basic pen so they cows can at least turn around and fight insects away. We respect tradition; however, you are also part of a new generation, and we ask you to move away from traditions that are cruel to animals. We politely ask again if you can change this? Or what can we do to help you get this done? Patricia & Nick

Response from Steve Wotherspoon, Agency / Consultant at Nalini Resort, Bali
Responded Aug 18, 2023
Dear Patricia and Nick, I replied to your complaint twice when you emailed me and explained the animals are very well-exercised and fed. The cows are tethered as is the practice in Indonesia. As a Hindu family, cows are sacred. It is against our religion to mistreat animals and I explained this to you but you did not listen and continue not to listen. You do not respect the Balinese tradition. Please do not try to introduce new traditions to Bali.

Was only staying here for a night but location was beautiful, staff were super helpful and room was great with a nice outdoor shower. Also affordable for what you get and a solid breakfast in the morning. Hope to come back again when I’m next in Bali.

This small hotel offers an excellent kitchen. We have not found anything comparable on our trip to Bali and Lombok. Everyone should visit the cooking class. Massage and Spa also very good. Prices quite cheap. Location very quite, nice spot for snorkelling.

Nalini Resort is a small family-managed Hotel with Ari and his Wife as friendly and sympathetic owners. They are like friends and care for the well-being of their guests. The resort is located directly at the beach far away from the busy but small Main road. So it is a calm and peaceful place to relax. Left and right of the resort are the Jukungs (boats) of the fishermen and it is amazing to watch them come back from fishing in the morning around 8 o'clock. The resort has only 8 rooms - three of them with a Seaview and five with a view into the garden. All rooms are clean and equipped with tasteful wooden furniture. Some examples are in the attached Fotos. The two larger suites are located on the first floor and have a wonderful and undisturbed view of the sea. Access to these 2 rooms is over a steep staircase. Rooms are therefore not recommended for handicapped people. A surprise was the hotel's own kitchen/restaurant. Everything is freshly prepared and of astonishing taste and quality. There we had one of the best meals during our two-month stay in Bali. The pebble beach offers crystal clear water but you should wear shoes if you want to swim or snorkel there. For divers: there is the famous Japanese shipwreck just a hundred meters in front of the resort. Cooking classes and yoga courses are provided in extra-equipped rooms with Seaview. All in all a paradise which I can recommend full-heartedly.

This place is perfectly located amidst the mackerel fishing fleet away from the hustle bustle of Amed and only 200 meters of swimming from the Japanese Shipwreck. While my wife and I were there, we thoroughly enjoyed the food, view and ambience of the dining room and of our room directly above it. The only sounds were wind, waves and kids playing. Ari and January are wonderful hosts and Ari took us on a visit to a Hindu celebration nearby on the shore. The rest of the staff were all friendly and proficient as well.
