Lovely place with friendly staff and shop keepers. The hotel staff went above and beyond to help us get around. The beds were comfortable and the view is amazing 🤩 the bridge walk is a must if you are visiting

If you are going to the spend the night in Naruto and like us are without our own wheels, this Hotel is a very good option. It's literally under ten minutes' walk from the Uzuno Michi and twenty minutes slow walk to the closest pier where boats set sail to see whirlpools. We came at the time when the whirlpools were at its best and managed to visit the Uzuno Michi around noon and then took the boat trip in the afternoon for the second high tide. Like others have said the room is rather dated and the safe in our room was not working properly. But the food was really great, service was adequate and the common bath was okay too. We stayed in Japanese Room with two meals package so can't comment on the western style room. Almost nil food options around the area after 1700 hours so be better prepared if you can't secure a half-board package in Japanese rooms. Taxi to JR Naruto station cost us 2,500yen. The Hotel shuttle only goes as far as the bus terminus at the Naruto Park entrance.

As we entered the hotel building, we could immediately see that the scenery towards the Great Naruto Bridge and the Naruto whirlpools were some of the best in the area. However, the building itself and the rooms were more worn down than expected, and as we paid considerably more for our room than on our other nights that we stayed at Shikoku, we were hoping for more. As it was off-season during March, the upper-floor sky pool was closed and the karaoke lounge was completely empty as well, aside from one sleepy salaryman laying flat on their face on the couch. The service was generally very good and friendly throughout our stay.

If you want a view of Naruto Bridge, whirlpool choose this place. Finding this place is challenging and if you drive its easier. The bad, very old building, checkin 3pm, checkout is ridiculous 10am and not negotiable. But if you looking for authentic Japanese dinner and breakfast their food are pretty good.

if you are going after the whirl pool that is famous in this area, you might want to stay here to have a good location and for convenience. Otherwise, stay away from this hotel. This hotel was really old, and a bit worn down. Room was extremely small and dark. The door was locked using traditional key and you have to remember to lock it every time you are leaving your room. Onsen was basic either but can offer you a view of the big bridge while you are relaxing in the onsen. There were room with a view of the onsen but as we booked it late what was left for us was only a smoking room with hill side view. One main disappointment was that the dinning facility was extremely limited with only one restaurant inside the hotel and on our day of visit it was already fully booked by the group tour and we have left with no other choice for any food in the hotel. The front desk staff only suggestion was to take a taxi to get to the JR station for other restaurant. The taxi cost us USD 25 one way and thus USD 50 round trip. There was nothing to do nearby the hotel during the night and also nothing to eat during the night.

We stayed at Naruto Kaigetsu, a hotel right out of the economic bubble time, rooms were clean but particular the facilities such as the "Onsen" (hot spring) a major reason to choose the resort was old. Tiles were broken or missing literally everywhere, the wooden door to the Sauna did not close properly not to mention there was no timing device inside the sauna temperature was good at 90 C degrees. My wife mentioned that the Sauna on her side of the "Onsen" did not work at all. The resting room was maintained OK but also very old, for instance a TV bigger than my american sized laundry machine (rooms had more normal flat screen tv's) Drinking water jug was empty in the morning but no staff was around to refill it. Free wifi was only available in the lobby but not in the room or anywhere near there, so I had to take the elevator and go from my room to the lobby to check my mail. Overall we paid a little above 30.000yen to stay there for one night without any food included, (2 adults, one 8 year old and 2 toddlers) ,I expected a little bit more quality for to fee - I would not let this stay ruin my holiday but would not choose to stay here again.

The reason that we stay at Naruto Kaigetsu is as it has very good location & convenience to see the whirlpools of Naruto . The view of the hotel lobby & room is excellent. It has excellent sea view which can overlook the Naruto bridge. With walking distance to approach the bridge to see the whirlpools. Their dinner & breakfast is delicious with 鯛魚會席料理, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who will go to Naruto.

We stayed here because its a stones throw away to the whirlpool views from the bridge. Views from the lobby of the bridge is really nice. Better still is the view of the sunrise in the mornings, both from the lobby and the onsen in the basement. Rooms are typically small...as are most local hotels. The room I had was really smokey and the stench permeated through the aircon which made it worse. Night time this place geta real quite, as it some way from the town.

Though not the room with the view of the whirlpool as said, the viewing of the Naruto bridge from the room and from the bath area was still very impressive. The windows in the room could be open, so we had taken some beautiful sunset pictures of the bridge. If the weather had been better, we should be able to have some good sunrise pictures too. Pitifully there is no outdoors spring. Dinner was fantastic. This was the first time we could barely finish the dinner included in the room. There were four of us and the sashimi boat was so far from enough. Not to mention the other dish. The lighthouse, the Naruto Ohashi Memorial Museum Eddy, Naruto Palk Observation Platform and the Naruto Bridge Observatory are all within walking distance. This had saved us quite some parking fee.

Not a fancy resort but a homely place to relax. Staff doesn't speak much English but is very friendly and helpful with organizing taxi transfers, etc. We had one of the Japanese style rooms with ocean The room was a bit old but clean and it was huge. And the view of the bridge was phantastic! Dinner and breakfast were good and plenty. Getting to Naruto Park and the hotel by public transport is a hassle, though. Busses don't run very often and connections are bad, so you end up waiting at the train station for 30 minutes or so each way. Better take a taxi from the train station to the hotel.
