Pension Hana is a homey bed & breakfast accommodation with garden in a quiet part of the town. The town center is only 5 minutes walking distance. We offer double-rooms with bathroom and other equipment. Parking in the front yard, bicycles and motorcycles can be parked in our garage.
We were booked in here on a cycle tour and received a warm welcome from the host of this B&B situated in a quiet residential street about 10 minutes walk from the town centre. A simple room but everything was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was admirable for such a relatively small establishment. The secure bike storage was of course a plus. Very nice.

We found this hotel to be very comfortable. The beds are cozy and there are fans available for those of us who enjoy a little more fresh air. We cycled to the pension after a rainy day and the staff was nice enough to provide a wash bucket for our filthy bicycles. They also had a convenient storage garage. It’s a 10 minute walk to the center of town. There is a nice grocery store two blocks away and a friendly bike shop even closer. Good breakfast! Perfect for our needs!

Large room with character, i.e., sloping rafters and functional dormer windows. No AC but a good fan which we used to the full as we’d arrived during the European heatwave of 2018. Be aware it’s bit of a climb to the hotel if you’re arriving by bike.

This was a very comfortable place, with a large bedroom. However I have given an overall rating of "poor" as our room appeared to be above the boiler house, which switched on and off all night, making it impossible, for me anyway, to get any reasonable amount of sleep. Suggest future visitors avoid room 14 if they want a good night's sleep. Breakfast very basic.

We have stayed in hundreds of hotels/B&B's in the last few years. This is a good stay. The positives: clean property and room, good water pressure in sink and shower, good room lighting, secure storage for your bicycle in locked garage, walking distance to town(about 10 minutes) but it is straight up a very steep hill, quiet residential neighborhood, good simple breakfast buffet(nothing elaborate just the basics), very friendly English speaking staff(other than the male owner who has the personality of a dead fish-grumpy when we checked in and grumpy the next morning as he was getting the breakfast buffet set up), limited car parking. Note that payment is expected in cash and upon check-in. Wifi was OK until people started checking in then it was on and off. Bottom line- you'll have a restful nights stay. …

This was a nice little place run by a young family. The owners were very nice and friendly - always ready and willing to help and answer questions. The rooms were a good size and spotlessly clean. The floors appeared to be covered in felt - interesting. Sheets and towels were fine; the duvet was a lumpy synthetic, but did the job. The bathroom was small, but not tiny, but there were no toiletries (bring your own), and the shower leaked (I think they all do in Europe!). There were also no English channels on the TV. It was in a great location in a quiet residential neighborhood just a 10 minute walk from the center of town. And the price was very reasonable – but cash only. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for 1 night and really enjoyed it. The staff were incredibly helpful, the breakfast was good, and the rooms were clean and spacious. The centre of the town is on the top of a steep hill and the hotel is around 500 metres from the main square. Walking into town can be tough so you may want to take a taxi for around £3.

Stayed here while visiting Czech Republic but mainly Prague. A worthwhile lodging for sure. The staff are super friendly, speak multiple languages, are extremely helpful and caring. The price is great and surprisingly includes a filling breakfast. Wifi is provided and is fast and free. Melnik may not have much for the tourist but there are several sites nearby one can visit between travels elsewhere - the castle, the church, the ossuary, the wine cellars, etc. Restaurants are abundant and food is inexpensive and very appetizing. The view of the surrounding countryside from the castle area is wonderful.Public transport is a hop skip away as well as a shopping mall for snacks, foods, drinks etc. It is only 45 minutes to Prague by bus and metro and staying here certainly saved us many dollars when comparing to lodging and food costs in Prague itself. Take the time to visit here as well, the old city square is beautiful, and the castle has an excellent restaurant serving pastries, ice cream, chocolates and wines.…

Visiting Melnik for an ice hockey tournament. Would definitely recommend!! Stayed for four nights. Friendly owners - family run pension in a quiet residential area. The room was excellent, clean and spacious with en suite. We had everything we required. The bed was extremely comfortable. Continental breakfast was served each morning and was excellent. Excellent value for money. Close to the ice rink and a supermarket. The centre of Melnik was about a five to ten minute walk from Penzion Hana. Would definitely use again if we return to Melnik!!
