There were no huge defects, but after viewing the photos and for the price 83 euro we expected more relaxing place (real borgo degli olivi!) and with more services. + Our room was clean and comfortable – with fridge, hairdryer, safe and conditioning + The bathroom was huge with two parts – sink and shower-toilet + Breakfast was as sweet so salty, even with hot dishes (omelet and bacon) but without fresh vegetables and fruits – very strange for the hotel of this level. + Reception was very helpful and polite + There is a free private parking which you can use 24 hours a day + The swimming pool is clean and comfortable, with sunbeds, shower, toilets (everything is free) and a small bar + There is a good supermarket near the hotel - Hotel has a big territory with olive and pine trees, but there are no places for outside relax e.g. terrases, benches, pergolas etc., only swimming pool with sunbeds which is open during daylight hours. - Rooms are situated so that when you exit to the balcony you see all your neighbours and they see you (shared balcony), so there is no privacy. - Wi-Fi didn’t work near the swimming pool and every time when we used it in the hotel we had to register and later we have received a lot of spam by email. - Although where was Wi-Fi in our room (which was situated above the reception) there was no mobile connection. - Our room was spacious and comfortable but there wasn’t enough light in the evening and it was too simple and not very cosy for the hotel of this level (standard room of standard hotel for business trips) - It is a hotel neither for the vacation on the beach (about 6 km far from the seaside), nor for the country-weekend cause there is nothing to do.

What strikes you most about this clean, well- appointed, roomy hotel is the universally friendly, polite and pleasant staff: they are delightful. Our spacious room led out onto a colonnaded terrace with table, chairs and clothes drier. A short walk past the lush green lawn and open-air restaurant (the fish is particularly good) gets you to a lovely large pool that even at its busiest allowed plenty of room and access to canopied tables, chairs and loungers. The main draw of this part of Tuscany is the miles-long strip of sandy beach with Elba an hour's ferry trip away from the nearby port. The village itself is quiet with a Coop, a couple of bars/ gellaterias and a wonderful little restaurant at the top of the hill -not to be missed, so book ahead! They performed a 'little Miracle' to squeeze us in and boy was the food good! Best we'd had all holiday! A fairly long drive up into the hills to the south gets you into a lovely little mediaeval hill village before descending into the spectacular sulphurous falls near Saturnia for free therapeutic bathing and fango caking: make a day of it!

it doesn't look like a child friendly hotel but every one was so kind, we have a small girl of 3 years old. the food was good and we had enough. the pool was simple but fun, and good cocktails. we definitely want to go back! of all the hotels was this one the best. friendly, clean (simple) and quit. a very nice stay!!

Our two night visit to Borgo declined Olivi was a welcome surprise. The rooms are very clean with refrigerators or mini bars. Our room had a table and chairs on the balcony with a spectacular view of the valley. Great place for some wine and cheese in the evening. Staff were very cordial and accommodating, especially the front desk. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed there during a work visit to Tuscany. The hotel was very quite and clean. The staff was welcoming. The breakfast was quite simple but the dinner service was great. The rooms are very old fashioned but it blends well with the area.

We stay here a couple of times before . Room comfortable and clean. It was not too far from where our friend have a private beach with a little restaurant so it was very handy for us. also not far from Piombino if we wanted to dine there or see our friends.

We were a big group and passing by, that was the main reason of staying there, but would not recommend it, it was a bit dirty, the lights didn't work when we got there and they took around 15 minutes to fix it, it was the same for all the rooms. The room was very noisy, you could hear everything from other rooms and the hallway, the towels at our room had huge holes and smelled a bit to vinegar... you can imagine the breakfast, not good.

We stayed here for one week beginnig of July 2013 (2adl + 3 kids). Accommodation was very clean (we had the biggest apt.) just the kitchen was equped with small fridge (ok) and 2 electrical plates for cooking. No MW no owen!!! I work in tourism for 20 years and it was according 3*+ standards. Staff was very pleasent and spoke well english. There was private parking for guests, quite large pool and kids pool. No sunbeds only sunchairs and chairs, pool bar. There is also hotel part and restaurant for HB. We tryed BF, was ok, Ialian style, but still OK. Realy ca. 200 m is Coop supermarket. There is cooperation with private beach (Bagno Skiuma). If you like to be on privet beach, not crowded (only weekends-lot of locals) i recommend. There is great Restaurant with beach bar. It is about 5-6 km drive with private parking (quite away from beach, in a camping in the middle of sunflower field) but still ok. You don't need to pay for parking!!! Generally great holiday, we will come back for sure in future.

I have been in 4 and 5 star Hotels all over the world, but this Hotel is great for Holidays and business trips. The staff speak pretty good English. The rooms are stylish and extremely suitable for wheelchairs. The adjustable central air-conditioning works very well. Breakfast is an elaborate Italian affair with buns filled with chocolate in addition to the usual fare. Outside is an enormous pool with nice 32 Celsius. Great for a day at the pool with a little concession stand for ice cream and drinks. They do have also a privat Beach area CALIPS only 5 minutes from the Hotel! BEST of all is the service and the very helpfull Manager Mrs. Stella and her husband Angelo. One of the best 3 star Hotels in Tuscany!
