A warm welcome, with really good food, a nice change from pizza! A big relief when most other places were shut.

Excellent food and wonderful service !!! The swordfish was so good! Every detail and every request always fulfilled! Family business is always the best!
This was our first stop when arriving in Puglia and ended up being our favorite. The service was so friendly, even though we were the only non-italian speaking group in the restaurant. The food was excellent - pizza, pastas, and especially dessert. We like the...wine so much (all local wines) we asked to buy a few bottles to take home, and they happily obliged. If you are anywhere close, make sure to find this place.More
This is where you get truly authentic dishes from the area, incredible pizza, all home made by the talented pizza chef, Andrea. We absolutely love it so much and can’t wait to visit again tomorrow.
Stumbled across this hidden jewel in a town we had not planned as a stop-over. Excellent food and wine at reasonable prices, great service and a real 'local' atmosphere. If you can get a balcony table (which we did not) would add another star! We'd...divert 30 km to dine there again. John & ElaineMore
Great family restaurant where you can enjoy the traditional food from Salento. We started with various antipasti with vegetables and cheese and then some typical pasta dishes e Cooke in the wood oven like the unmissable home made gnocchi. Nice and fresh terrace. Don’t miss...it if you are in this part of Salento.More
Our friends took us to this excellent restaurant. Food was traditional salentino. Liked it so much we went twice!Sea bass was amazing and everyone loved the pizzas (and the chips). The service was great and Andre spoke really good English.
autentic Salentina kitchen and delicious pizza various .Stattes buffet is grate and inexpensive.Really recomended!
Great food, typical tastes of Salento. The catch of the day (seabass) was great. The Puglia typical oriechette with salsiccia where phenomenal. Pizza is good to. Very quaint location, they have a upper terrace which is great in the summer.
We had a great meal. Service was excellent and the restaurant is stunning. They were friendly and polite. Will definitely come back.
We visited Andrea’s family restaurant while staying at Furnirussi Tenuta. Although the restaurant at our hotel was really good we went to Vecchia Borgata 3 times within our 5 day stay. We really enjoyed the typical environment and just loved all the dishes Andrea put...on the table. I think his parents are the cooks. Also the wines, most (or all?) from the winehouse Le Vigne de Sammarco were excellent and reasonably priced. Andrea himself is really friendly and always laughing and gave us a really good feeling from the minute we walked in. Just go there, you won’t be disappointed.More
Man, so many memories and tasty evenings spent in this place! A typical small italian restaurant with wonderfull boss and great atmosphere. Every single dish is amazing! I would recommend to order a fresh fish for the following day. Its damn tasty even for me...that doesn’t eat fish products at all!More
We visit this trattoria regularly and have so many favourites on the menu. Pasta dishes are as authentic as you can get in Italy. You feel that your Momma is cooking everything fresh for you. Pizzas are excellent and varied! The buffet is always full...of delicious and healthy starters and very moderately priced. The wines are local and very good to accompany the authentic food. Andrea is the most welcoming and helpful man, we love him and he helps us so much with translation. We can’t recommrnd this restaurant more highly!!! 10/10More
We were staying at the notorious Furnirussi Tenuta and had the chance to enjoy a few pizzas at La Vecchia Borgata! Just great: the food, the staff, the ambience make this little trattoria a very nice place for families and tourists who want to enjoy...a good night out!More
Very nice restaurant in the center of Serrano. Great staff, English spoken. Small door on the street, but large room on the ground floor and open terrace on the roof. Home made Italian kitchen, large menu, very nice antipasti buffet. Interesting dishes of the day...such as pasta with lobster or dorade in salt crust. Excellent value for money!More
